OK so i brought my car here in at the end of the fall to get an oil change and because my brakes were squeaking. the service guy said they checked the brakes and it was just dust or moisture, that they checked and there was over 40% left on the front and over 60% left on the back. he told me to just wait on the breaks until about 40K kilometres and put up with it rather than spend money needlessly. so it turns out they were squeaking not from dust but because they were at the end of their life. this is not rocket science, anyone knows that brakes make that sound for either of those reasons. a little over a week ago i heard a grinding noise so i took the car into another dealer. sure enough, the front rotors now had to be replaced. thanks a lot willison, it cost me $350 instead of what should have been about $150 - checking brakes is a pretty simple task for a car mechanic (you would think).
