I've bought and sold many cars in the past few years, some of them from alberta truck and auto. Their prices are probably the lowest in the market but most their cars are high milage for the year you are gettting it for. The few that I bought from them had scuffs and scratches, and fronts were sandblasted, but at the end of the day, the price was significantly lower. Have the car checked independantly, although a few years ago, they would not allow customers to take the cars for inspection to any shop (I believe canadian tire was one of them). Their cars come from east coast which means higher chance of rusting due to road salt. its being sold cheap for a reason. For my next purchase though, I would spend more and get something locally thats in a clean shape, specially if you are spending 15k+ on it.

I wanted to take a minute and recognize the fantastic service that I received last week when I purchased my 2008 F250.

It started with Peter, who was helpful, informative and not at all pushy. He was a very comfortable person to deal with.

Once I had decided, he turned me over to Doug for financing. Doug was great. Very helpful, letting me know the best place to pursue insurance, even offering me tips on how to program my FOB.

Once the vehicle was home, I ran into a little issue with the starter. When I phoned Peter, he booked me a time to come in the very next day, and gave me no flak about it. He was more than willing to help me out.

Once in, Les was quick to ascertain the problem. He called over to Ford to see if they covered it, once he knew they didn't, he quickly had the new part on order. All told, it only took a couple hours and Les had me ready to roll again. He even came out to my truck as I was leaving and offered me some advice on what to do in the future.

I wanted to make sure everyone was acknowledged for the part they played in ensuring customer satisfaction. I was incredibly pleased with the service and professionalism of your dealership. I will most certainly be conducting business with you in the future, and will be advising my friends to do so as well.

Thanks again Sean for running a great place,

Mike Newman

Last 2007, I bought a Jeep Liberty to Alberta Truck and Auto, last 2008 my dad bought a Saab 9-3 to them and at that same year I traded my Jeep liberty to a Ford Escape from them too. Lastly just weeks ago, My dad traded his Saab for a Dodge Nitro all at Alberta Truck and Auto. In short that was 4 transactions in 3 years... let that be a testament that this dealership is no hoax... they maintain a level of integrity and honesty to customers. I never had a problem with them... everything is taken cared of and dealing with them is a breeze. Their no pressure sales guys are awesome and straight to the point. I will definitely buy and consider their dealership first rather than any other. Mind you... this is not a paid nor requested testimony.. this is just something to tell you guys how things work in this dealership and a way of thanks to their help in every transaction that i did with them. Sean.. Ross.. Doug.. and all the guys.. keep up the good work.

My husband and I purchased a 2001 Windstar Van on Sept.14,2003 from here and Mr. Krebs help make the transaction run smoothly and efficiently. We had addressed some minor issues i.e. latch for a compartment and rear windshield wiper, they took care of them immediately and at our convenience. This vehicle, like all their vehicles was not considered high mileage. Ours was 98k and all the others we saw and that were there, I believe, were around 100k. Our vehicle was clean too. We've taken the liberty to call Mr. Krebs and ask him questions about our vehicle and other vehicles that interest us. He's always informative, polite, considerate and positive. Needless to say, we still have our van, of course like any responsible vehicle owner, we have maintained it and it runs very well. We definitely recommend this business to anyone. It is the most affordable used car dealership and one that runs with integrity. There are no pressure salespeople. They have also received many awards i.e.Consumer's Choice Awards. We believe those that are giving negative reviews are difficult people to begin with, don't know proper vehicle maintenance and are competitive dealerships that have ulterior motives and are trashing Alberta Truck and Auto. But don't take my word for it, check them out, you'll be glad you did.

what Alberta truck and auto does is buys high milage cars from the easy, mostly Toronto, and ships them to Alberta and sells them. They claim they have the cheapest prices, thats true, but their cars are generally not in a good shape. Also they are high milage which is why its cheaper. so you are NOT getting a good deal. just paying less because the car is not as clean or low milage as others in the market.

What would your company do if the vehicle they sold had engine failure in less than a year? Don't expect these guys to back up some of their questionable product.
