Called Service Today for a problem my Mom was having with her dishwasher. Duc Tran arrived at her condo before I even had a chance to get there. He was very professional, courteous and efficient, and in no time was able to diagnose and have it working again. Any problems with any of our appliances in the future, I would not hesitate to give them a call.

A service tech came to my house and identified a failed electric motor on my a/c unit for a $65 charge. He took my almost new blower and the motor away and then quoted an unrealistic amount to replace and when I chose to replace the whole unit rather than repair the motor he gave me an even more unrealistic and outrageous price to bring back my pieces.
I reported this to the Oakville store (if there actually is a store) and that I was threatening to call the police and that is what he said to do! Shameful to say the very least.
My new service provider suggested it is a scam! So buyer beware - avoid this company.
Tony and Jasper came to service my dishwasher. Knew immediately what was wrong and needed to order a new motor. The supplier messed up on that but not their fault. He kept in touch and when the correct part arrived they were back and installed the item in less than an hour, cleaned up and tested the dishwasher. Great guys; good service (wrong part not their fault) and knew what they were doing. Will call them again if I need an appliance serviced. Polite and amazing service.
Being a Landlord from out of town, I called 'the appliance service people' to fix my oven at a rental property. The technician came and within 10 minutes of work gave up and called me telling me the main circuit board was damaged and will need to be replaced, at a cost of $350-$500. I had a feeling something suspicious was taking place. The following weekend I drove to Toronto from Ottawa to asses the situation. When I arrived, the oven had 13 screws sitting inside of it, and the access panel had been put on in a manner trapping electrical wires - creating a fire hazard. When I inspected the oven, I found a burned out 20Amp fuse beneath the lower trim plate on the front. Upon replacing this fuse, un-trapping the wire from the casing, and putting all the screws back in - the oven worked just fine.
So I would have spent hundreds of dollars and it still would not have worked. Its every technicians due diligence to start with the basics - 'is there power?', 'is the fuse blown?'.
Extremely dissatisfied with this company. Especially with the $113 bill for an incompetent technician who created a fire hazard.
Upon calling the head office for a resolution, there was no manager or owner to speak to, and I was hung up on.
I will be calling the TSSA,the BBB and the city of Toronto to file a report against them.
I called at noon, and I was told that a repair person would be by before 5:30pm to take a look at my washing machine. By 5:15pm, no one had showed up, so I left a message to check if someone was still coming. No one came, nor have I received any explanation why no one came.
When making the original call, she requested my name and visa number. Given the poor business etiquette that I experienced, I now question why they have my visa number.
I will not use this company again, and I will warn my friends from using this company also.
Duc came to check on our dryer. Very friendly, courteous and professional. He explained to me what the problem was in simple terms and had the machine running in no time. Never felt like I was getting screwed.

My Maytag washing machine broke down last night(Feb 25) and I was worried about how to get my laundry done in this snowy weather. I called Maytag customer service but they were not working Saturdays! I happened upon the Service Today website while surfing for help. I called, Dus came in the same day and fixed my machine in under 30 minutes! Thank you Service Today!
A word to the wise for technicians: SCREEN DOORS SHOULD BE LEFT SHUT UNTIL OPENED BY THE OCCUPANT! I opened the front door expecting the screen door to be shut. Nope! The tech had opened it and my year old Beagle went running out at the speed of light at the glimpse of off-leash freedom - as I was attempting the catch his collar. I didn't think the screen door would be open? There was a moment where the tech could have closed the door, as I was frantically begging him to do, but he just stood there. NOT TOO BRIGHT! With no knowledge of cars this little dog could have easily been killed. I had no time to let the tech in!!! I ran after my dog, praying he would come to me, and the tech had to leave. I wish I'd had a chance to find out if the service WAS infact good. Instead I almost lost my little dog and the company told me to go elsewhere!!
I was thrilled with the service I received for the repair of my 5 year old fridge. Our technician (Duc Tran) was quick to respond to our call and even quicker to diagnose the problem. He also fixed a dishwasher problem earlier this year and because we were so pleased with his professionalism at that time we called Appliance Service People again.

Quick service, professional and friendly. We appreciated that you were able to come by on such short notice and get out stove in working order again. And to save us from having to buy a new stove at this time. Our ten year old stove has new life now for a few more years.
This is excellent you are donating $1.00 to charity for each review.

I couldn't help but notice several bad reviews for a competitor of Appliance Service People. I have used this company on numerous occassions over the years. A service technician is usually out to see you in a matter of hours. Knowledgeable tech's at affordable prices. They've kept my old fridge, stove, dishwasher, and washer and dryer in working order long past their expiry date. I highly reccommend them.
