Cliff invented the 'drive-thru' quick oil change concept and in 1976 opened the first Mr. Lube store in Edmonton. Never before had an oil change and lube been so fast, convenient and affordable. My experience could not have been worse. I took my car into Mr. Lube for a coolant flush and oil change. The next day my car overheated on the highway because of a damaged heating/cooling system. I took it into Canadian Tire Auto Centre to fix the damage, and Mr. Lube asked me to drop off the Canadian Tire receipt saying they would start an investigation into what happened. Mr. Lube Management then waited 4 days to contact me, asking me to track down the original radiator tubes Canadian Tire had to replace. Mr. Lube has said, THREE TIMES they would follow up with me to resolve this and on each occasion never did. Overall I had to spend over $500 on a simple coolant flush and oil change. What I’ve learned is Mr. Lube’s auto service is untrustworthy, their customer service is terrible, and their service prices are actually MORE EXPENSIVE in the long run. Know what you’re getting into by having your vehicle serviced here - the management team will NOT help you out or work to correct their mistakes.
