We are one of the 21 regional programs authorized by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services to accomplish this goal. Since 1992 the Wayne County BCCCP has provided nearly 100,000 free breast and cervical cancer screenings to local women. In addition to screening services we also provide needed follow up and treatment through our network of over 40 participating clinics and hospitals. The Tri-County BCCCP’s mission is to assure that uninsured or under insured women who face high out of pocket costs due to insurance deductibles in our community have full access to breast and cervical cancer screening, follow up, and treatment services by: - Reaching out to women to increase awareness about the BCCCP - Partnering with other community organizations to increase community awareness about breast and cervical health and the BCCCP - Ensuring that program-eligible women can enroll and receive timely, efficient, high quality care - Establishing a network of health care groups to deliver the program’s clinical services at no cost to the woman - Providing comprehensive follow up and treatment services for women who need them - Offering personal support to women to help reduce any barriers to their care Read more
