Retained Lisa, who basically brushed off my ex and his attorney, causing big issues that resulted in an urgent motion filed by the other party 2 weeks before Christmas. I was adamant that Lisa be present in court during the urgent motion, but she couldn't bother to show up, and that was after she was being difficult in choosing a court date.. She sent a junior lawyer in her place who forgot her robe and was chastised by the judge, making me look incompetent. She then had the nerve to charge $10k even though she was a no show. She also dropped the ball on a letter of reply 3 days before it was due. She was ok about bullying me for payment of an additional $5k for the documents, even though she had not even bothered to start the paperwork and basically sent me documents with information I had already filled out. I ended up having to fire her because she was causing huge issues with the other party and then demanding funds for doing no work. Throughout the whole ordeal she barely answer emails, phone calls and texts. The only replies I would get are when I texted her personal number. When I was left to self represent, I ended up negotiating a better agreement than was done through Lisa. Horrible experience, I would certainly never recommend her.
