Daniel and his college who delivered our Arhaus sofa were polite, professional and meticulously set up our coach so we didn’t have to lift a finger. They were quality, top notch guys which makes me believe the delivery company knows what they’re doing. Thank you!

Allied "The Careful Movers"? No—Unprepared, Unprofessional, and Damage Deniers

I hired Berger Allied for an interstate move from Ohio to Colorado (Reg #481074), paying a $988 premium for $150,000 in Extra Care Protection (ECP) with a $0 deductible. That was part of the almost $17,000 I paid for what was supposed to be a "stress-free" move. What I received was a masterclass in incompetence and bad-faith business practices.

The Delivery Nightmare:

The delivery crew arrived at my home in Pueblo West unprepared and unprofessional. They did not even carry their own basic tools. Instead of working efficiently, members of the crew were caught watching football on their phones while they should have been offloading.

The result of their negligence was widespread property destruction. The crew dragged items across my floors, leaving deep gouges in my hardwood and scratching my custom epoxy flooring. Furthermore, they lacked the skill or effort to properly reassemble my furniture, leaving pieces unstable or incorrectly put together.

The Bad-Faith Claims Process:

My nightmare continued with the claims department. Despite their own hired inspector (Schatzman Claim Service) documenting that the floor damage was “new transit damage,” the initial adjuster (Kathy Janos) offered only a $1,000 “goodwill” settlement and closed my file. Berger’s own letter said the basement bedroom floor repair was estimated at about $400, and they tried to present a $500 payment for that room as if it was more than fair, while denying the rest of the documented floor damage. Even worse, they initially refused to provide the inspection reports and photos at all, claiming they were confidential. It took an executive escalation and a threat of regulatory action for a Claims Manager to finally overturn that position and issue the full $6,410 settlement.

The Cargo Denial:

The household goods side is still a failure of integrity. Allied/SIRVA (Adjuster Kathlyn Rounds) denied a $1,690 EGO Snowblower and an adjustable desk as “mechanical failures” due to “vibration.” I provided an independent diagnostic report from a certified technician proving the snowblower’s internal drive unit was physically cracked from being dropped or hit—an external impact, not vibration.

The Contradiction:

Allied accepted liability for a cracked Samsung Soundbar in the same shipment but continues to deny the snowblower and desk despite irrefutable proof of violent handling that gouged my floors and snapped metal castings. I have been forced to file a formal complaint with the FMCSA (Case #00282315) to seek the remaining $901.00 they are contractually obligated to pay.

If you value your property and your sanity, do not hire Berger Allied.

Great communication from the delivery team. I appreciate the very specific time frame for delivering my furniture. I also appreciate the team using shore covers not getting my floors wet from the weather!

Great delivery experience! Easy scheduling & advance notifications of arrival times. They delivered an Arhaus sofa. Took the pieces out of the boxes outside, no packaging was brought inside. They put booties over their shoes as they stepped in the house & literally pulled out white gloves to wear while connecting the pieces/parts for reclining. Very pleasant, personable and efficient. Highly recommend!

The guys were great and efficient, very nice and were in and out. I highly recommend them and hope to see them back for our last delivery we have coming in.
