When I needed brake work done I was looking for something in the neighbourhood, I accidentally called an auto body repair shop on Greenwood, and the owner there recommended I go to Don Valley Auto.
I had my car towed there when my brakes failed and was expecting a large bill.
I spoke to the owner, George and he explained that there was nothing major that needed to be done...only needed to tighten the connections between the cables. He charged me a minimal amount that was WAY under what I was expecting.
I was so happy I took my car there to get my winter tires replaced by all season. I had my baby with me and George and his son-in-law were so friendly and accommodating and worked right away so I only needed to wait 20 minutes. Every time I go there, they take the time to educate me on what needs to be fixed, how much parts cost and what work has been done. They use quality parts to ensure the best and most reliable function, but leave the decision up to you if you want to use a cheaper part. Super patient, friendly and honest. It's a family business and these people seem to genuinely enjoy working there. I'd recommend this place to family and friends in the neighbourhood and I would never go anywhere else.

I was told about this place by a friend who highly recommended it, and now that I have found it I won't go anywhere else. The person who runs it - George - is not only honest to a fault, but he takes the time to explain what needs to be done and only charges you for what he did. He and his staff are all friendly but still professional. A great experience...how many shops can you say that about?
This is SO much better than any other experience I had at any chains (e.g. Cdn Tire, Goodyear) or other service places.
