I don't plan on going back.
I brought my car in to get my front suspension checked out for a few things.
They fixed one problem on the spot which was a loose rack & pinion and they gave me a quote for the rest of the suspension. I needed new left & right sway bar links, a new right ball joint and an alignment as expected when changing parts in the suspension. I got an appointment and they gave me a courtesy car for the day.
At the end of day one, I was told the car wasn’t ready because the mechanic had broken the cv driveshaft and the bearing while trying to remove ball joint. I was informed that they had already tried replacing the cv driveshaft however the part didn’t fit so they had to order another one and it would take another day. At this point I believed that they weren’t charging me for the parts they broke as they hadn’t given me a quote and they had begun work before receiving my approval (Which goes against la Loi sur la protection du consommateur, RLRQ c P-40.1).
On day 2, the courtesy car they gave me (a chevy Malibu) took 35 minutes to start because the car didn’t recognize the key and went into theft mode. I understand this isn’t really the garages fault but it definitely didn’t lighten my mood.
When I finally went to go pick up my car, my invoice went up 300 and something dollars due to the broken parts (This also goes against la Loi sur la protection du consommateur, RLRQ c P-40.1, as the final invoice cannot surpass the initial evaluation without a new and approved evaluation being given before the work is started). I argued with the guy at the counter and he said that was the best they could due as they were only charging me parts and no labor on the cv shaft and bearing. That day, their interact machines were broken so couldn’t pay.
On Day 3, after having read RLRQ c P-40.1, I called the garage asking them if they were aware of that specific law, the owner told me he wasn’t but after just 1 minute of talking he agreed to remove all additional charges.
A few days later I found out that one of my front tie rods were loose. Meaning that the alignment they did was completely useless because they performed it on a loose suspension and it now has to be redone.
Overall I was very unpleased with the service I received. The workers probably figured they could take advantage of the customer figuring a teen wouldn’t know his rights. I definitely would recommend that anybody planning on bringing their car here should read la Loi sur la protection du consommateur, RLRQ c P-40.1 before going.

We have been going there for over 5+ years and have been exceptionally happy with the service. They have changed brakes on the same day without appointment on a day we were to leave for vacation. Now that's service!!
