I needed short-term care while my 97-year-old mother stayed with me for a few weeks. I didn’t want to be tied down at home, so I contacted TLC.

Since I only needed care for a short time, a few different aides came to help. Every one of them was kind, professional, and very helpful. Communication with the office was seamless, and scheduling was easy throughout the process.

I would definitely use TLC again and would recommend them to anyone looking for reliable home care.

After speaking with a representative from TLC Companions, I immediately felt that they understood the challenges families face when caring for an aging parent experiencing cognitive decline. They paired my mother with a caregiver who seemed to have an uncanny ability to understand her needs without ever being condescending. She remained consistently polite, patient, and good natured, even during moments when my mother could be difficult or less than kind.

Communication and flexibility were key to my relationship with the caregiver and her relationship to my mom. I would usually prepare a list of things my mother hoped to accomplish, and she somehow managed to gain my mother’s cooperation while still respecting her independence. Tasks were completed without making my mother feel pressured or managed. At the same time, she was perceptive enough to recognize when my mother was having an off day. Instead of pushing, she would ease up, redirect the day, and prioritize my mother’s comfort and emotional well-being. My family truly appreciated the care, dignity, and professionalism she brought every visit. We would recommend TLC Companions to other families needing compassionate support

We have had an incredible experience with TLC Home Care while caring for my dad with dementia. From the very beginning, their team has been flexible, easy to work with, and always quick to respond whenever we needed support.
