Fantastic place for a light breakfast or lunch, with lots of fresh tasty treats to take home!

very impressed with Pan Chancho, whose products can stand up to those of any major city. Imaginative breads, suicidal pastries, plus nice little trifles like truffles. The staff ranges from very friendly to somewhat aloof - hence the half star. Nevertheless, I go Pan Chancho.

Our tour of Canada continues as we zip through Kingston on our way to Montreal.
Stopped in at the fabulous resto/patio/bakery/gourmet market Pan Chancho. This busy upscale eatery has take out, dine in and a patio. I had a gourmet burger topped with stilton cheese and crisp pancetta. Debsil.n49.ca had the spinach and ricotta dumplings and the kids had pasta and a grilled cheese.
Everything was outstanding – and we would go back – if only they had one in Toronto!
