I give this place a 1 star because we dropped our dog off on Saturday morning, March 4, 2023, for an ear infection check-up so the Vet can exam her. On Monday, our dog was making noises like she had something in her throat then by Tuesday afternoon, she was making cough-like noises. I looked online and watched a video of a dog with similar symptoms. Turns out it’s kennel cough! Our dog didn’t have this before going into this place nor ever had it before. We called the Banfield back and they told us that she could have caught it anywhere, dog parks, on walks, or another kennel. Our dog is a homebody, we have not taken her for walks for the last 2 months and she does not go to dog parks or another kennel. They want us to bring her back to them to treat her for an infectious disease that they GAVE her while she was in their care! Based on the circumstances, we KNOW that our dog contracted this disease at their kennel. We will never bring our dog back to this location again. We have taken our dog to the Eden Prairie location numerous times and never had this problem because they don't kennel her but we couldn't get in for another week so they suggested that we go to the Edina location. We are so upset and disappointed at how they responded to our concern. Please, if you love your baby, don't put he/she in their care unless you want he/she to leave with another illness.
