The Rockcliffe isn't a bar that begs the question "what are we going to do here tonight". You're going to do 1 or more of 2 things. Drink. And play pool. Well, there's a couple of interesting extracurricular activities one can take part in but those aren't for publication or endorsed / condoned by yours truly.

I would imagine that this place was hit hard by the smoking ban. You see, as far as I can remember it was a biker bar. This includes the 2 months I worked there one summer as security. While it was certainly ok to drop by for a brew during the day, it was quite another place once the sun went down.

They play rock-n-roll in this bar. Not the newfangled stuff you here on college campuses either. We're talking Bob Seger rock-n-roll. generally speaking they have serious live rock bands on the weekends, especially during the summer months. Most are cover bands with heavy acts. These folks like their thumpin' rock for sure.

It's not uncommon to see a huddle of Harley's out front during the summer months. It's quite a popular hangout for bike enthusiasts. Wearing a t-shirt from the place is akin to wearing colours.

If you're in the area close by to Minden drop in for a brew and a t-shirt. If it's night time, mind your manners. And for pete's sake don't touch ANYTHING parked out front whatever you do, regardless of how many wheels it has.
