It's tough when you find a puddle of water in your basement with no obvious leak spewing out water. You might panic a little bit and rush to accept the first person who comes to take a look at it. You might also believe that the most expensive quote would obviously be the best choice..... but calm down a moment, take a breath, and call these guys to take a look. Wise Cracks is a family run business with years of experience and when he came he gave me an honest opinion: that mine was a textbook foundation crack that did not require thousands and thousands of dollars to fix. He came back and spent maybe an hour fixing it, leaving me with peace of mind and a guarantee that it would not leak. After this experience I would recommend you to trust them. If they say it will cost $500 or $10 000 it is because they feel that is what it will take to make your basement dry.

I'm sure they could do the whole nine yards if you are not handy, but as I am, I made sure to have the wall open, the whole crack exposed, and I will be putting new drywall back on.
