We called for the 50 and 70% off, we were a hour and a half away from the store so called 4 times to make sure they had the color and size off my lady of honor and girls of honors, 4 times a different version story for the price on the phone...she told me we they don't rent dresses but with the special we could find a dress for as low as $50...so we went down, OMG what a mistake that was!!! No dresses under $450 so half price at $225 and the lady with no smile to serve us...Thank god we found the dresses a few store further!!!!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!!! That's probably why they are closing I guess!!!!

I came to St Hubert St after not being able to find anything in Toronto. I randomly stepped into the Pronuptia store.
The people are at the reception desk did not look too friendly or welcoming but once upstairs, the sales lady that helped us out was really helpful.
She carefully listened to everything I told her about what I wanted and brought out a number of dresses for me to try on.

I liked a few of the dresses because they were unique and well made. I went in the next day with my girlfiend and her mom and tried on another 10 dresses.
I went in the next day and tried the ones I likes one more time and narrowed it down to two.
The next day I went in with my dad and tried on the 2 last dresses. I changed in and out of them both at least 6 times because I couldnt make up my mind.
I finally chose one. The saleslady showed my a veil and a tiara that went perfectly with my dress.
She explained everything about the alterations and how much they would cost, but the dress was a good fit on me so I decided not to have anything done to it.

I loved this store. My dress is very chic, classy, and unique. The fabric used is also very good.
Everyone that has seen it (we havent had the wedding yet) also loves and compliments it. Im very happy with my dress:)

So i went to pronuptia for my dress in february and needed it for june! The saleswoman was very nice at first made me fall in love with the dress. The minute we payed, she stamped alterations NOT included! They didn't even warn us before, she waited till after we paid! Then the nightmare began!

1- They refused to order my size they said i was too late and the dress would never arrive on time!
2- They never warned about the alterations
3- When i went for the fitting, they were extremely rude and impatient! I was leaving on a trip and didn'T have time to get my bustier, so they made me sign a paper saying that i was liable and that they wouldn't do anymore alterations once it'S done
4- When i got back from my trip, i had gotten my bustier, i called the store and asked if they started the alterations. They said no. SO i asked nicely if i could come for a second fitting (normal thing to do for a bride) and they refused. They said i already had one fitting it's enough. I explained that since they hadn'T started working on it, i don'T see the problem. After arguing with them, they said i could come try it on but they won'T readjust.
5- I went to talk to the manager, and explained what happened on the phone and she said the person who spoke to me was stupid and didn'T know what they're talking about and that they'd be happy to fix the dress for me since they had NOT STARTED the alterations yet.
6- I got for my appointment and find that the dress is altered and i can'T do anything anymore!!!!

when i went to try it on, the girl didn'T even go in to help me put it on and was very very rude! RUDE arrrgghh!

Anyways, all in all not a nice thing to do to a bride to be, especially knowing the stress that comes with wedding preparation. Buying a wedding dress should be a beautiful process and it was not! They made me hate the dress and regret having even stepped into their store!

NEVER GO TO THIS SHOP!! while i have seen some of the sealswomen are quite nice, i had the most horrible service. the woman who sold me a dress acted like she was doing me a huge favour, gracing me with her service. i got my dress on sale, which seems to mean you get treated terribly. the alterations they are doing are terrible, then they get angry at me for being too "picky." the problems with the dress are not small, the area around the bust looks ridiculous, they have not altered it well. they get mad every time i come in for fitting, my salesperson saying "YOU SHOULD HAVE HAD ALL THIS DONE AGES AGO" as if the problems with the alterations are my fault. shopping for a dress is supposed to be fun, my experience has been a nightmare. AVOID THIS STORE!

When I went into this store on a whim, to browse for a dress for my youngest daughter's wedding, I found the staff to be very helpful and the selection exciting. Surprisingly I found a perfect dress and because I was from out of town, they immediately did the alterations and I was able to leave the store two hours later, not only with a fabulous dress, but also with the requisite high heeled shoes. I was on cloud 9 and can recommend this store for any moms out there looking for that perfect dress.

I received Excellent and Professional service! My bridal consultant, Mme, La France was polite, experienced and she Listened to what my needs were! She was very respectful of my budget and her overall aim was to ensure my happiness in chosing my wedding dress. She exercised sensitivity in ensuring that she included my mother in the process of my dress selection; as my style is 'just a little' different from my mothers' :).

Mme. La France was also knowledgeable on accessories (hair pieces, jewelery, gloves, veils etc..). I received great service from my bridal consultant and the other bridal staff/consultants. I would certainly recommended other brides to make a visit to this store.
