Begin with the flavorful mulligatawny soup or a traditional Mediterranean or Caesar salad. Combo plates include falafel, gyro or shish kabob served with hummus and pita bread. Among the myriad meatless dishes are baigan bhartha (eggplant baked with onions, tomatoes and spices) and vegetable kofta (mixed vegetables with fresh cheese balls served in a butter sauce). There’s also a long list of tandoori-style entrées such as the Tandoori Surprise (an assortment of chicken, lamb, beef and fish served with onions and lemons) or the Tandoori Seafood (halibut, cod, salmon and prawns). Choose from a long list of traditional Indian breads baked fresh daily to accompany your meal. Desserts include baklava, gulab jamun (fried pastry served in honey and syrup), kheer (traditional Indian rice pudding) or a variety of ice creams. During warmer months, don’t miss eating on the popular wooden veranda. Read more
