DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Run away fast. I have had them for many years. Always increasing prices, less service, and now when I finally cancel they are still charging me for a month full of service with no refund as they say they go month to month whole no partials. Request equipment I already turned in with proof. They are terrible liars and cheaters. Do not go with them.

Three stars because the staff at this store did their job. This is a review more of Spectrum as a company.

True story. A young man knocked on my door back in February asking to sign me up for Spectrum internet services. I told him I'd think about it and to send me the offers over email. He asked for my email address and telephone number and said he would be in touch.

Two weeks later a Spectrum equipment installation package arrives on my porch. After a few days, I contacted Spectrum customer support and indicated that I never requested or ordered their service. The rep apologized, said they closed the account, and sent me a return label.

I was then contacted by Spectrum marketing and offered a deal to sign up...during the process of cancellation.

Now I've had contact with sales, customer service, and marketing.

Next, I dropped the equipment off at the Spectrum store in Mt. Sterling. I was reluctant to sign their paperwork confirming the equipment return because I never signed up for the service, but did so anyway after the in-store clerk assured me this would wrap this issue up.

Now I've had contact with a local store, sales, marketing, and customer service.

Today, I received a bill in the mail indicating a past due balance, due immediately. So, I had to call Customer Service again and speak to the billing department.

Seems like a lot of wheels spinning for an order I did not place. That a company, not this particular location, can do business so badly and stay afloat says a lot about the quality of service from these enormous communications firms and what basically amounts to price gouging selling services originally built out by the US taxpayer.

My girlfriend and I went in to take advantage of an offer to add a line free for one year, and I needed a new phone with more storage capacity. The sales person was very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. I left with a new phone--which I'm very pleased with--at a reasonable price. I was worried that setting it up would be a hassle, but he gave me simple instructions that were easy to follow.
