I stayed in Hotel Ivy when I visited twin city last month. This hotel is located in Minneapolis downtown, and it has beautiful hotel room with spacious bathroom. I love the decoration and design of this hotel. The restaurant is gorgeous, I had breakfast as well as lunch, and the food quality never disappoints me. The staff is super nice, and they know how to listen to my needs and react properly.

The room was good, the food and drinks at the bar were terrible. Ordered "Herb Fries with a Basil Aioli" but received regular fries with ketchup. After pointing out the differences, I was told all about the kitchen struggles. I ordered a buffalo trace double (3 oz), $34.00-- by comparison the night before at the Four Seasons Riva Terrace the same drink was $22.00 (and all their food was ON POINT). Obviously not an example of a luxury property. Stay here, but don't dine or drink here.

The hotel is very nice. All of the staff we encountered were very professional and friendly from the valet, front desk, spa staff and housekeeping. The rooms are spacious and clean. I did love how quiet the hotel is. I never heard doors slamming and housekeeping was not banging on my door first thing in the morning as they do at other hotels if you forget to put up your do not disturb sign. The only area where I could see some improvement was in the spa and this is the main reason we chose this hotel. Once we were oriented to the Quarts Spa, we rarely saw a staff person. People had left several used towels on shelves in the spa and they were never removed in the 2hrs we were there. There weren't any clean towels in the spa area, but only in the locker room. I think the shelves were meant for clean towels and not dirty ones. Staff never came by to squeegee the wet floors. We entered the Aura Lounge and found the chairs all appeared to have been used by other guests and not refreshed. These things gave me an over all feeling of uncleanliness. I hate to leave a negative review, but I know if I were the manager or owner, I would want to be aware of these things.

If you like a cocroach in your bathroom at 3 AM, scratchy towels and robes, outdated rooms with wallpaper. Book this hotel!
If you like a 4 star lobby, with a negative 5 star outdated room, I suggest you book this hotel!
I would say at best, comparable to a motel six. Sorry motel six.
Roach the size of my thumb! Nothing like the pictures.... I didn't even tell my fiancé after the wedding we attended about the roach. I had to play it off like I knocked something off the bathroom counter. She rates it a -5/10. DO NOT STAY!

We stayed at Hotel Ivy for one night with our young child. When we got to our room, there was a very strong marijuana smell. It was bad enough that we didn’t feel comfortable staying in the room as-is.
The hotel worked on the problem, but it took about two hours before we could actually use the room. Since this was only a one-night stay, losing that much time was frustrating.
The hotel did give us a $60 food credit, which I appreciated. However, no room change or upgrade was offered while we were waiting.
Once the smell issue was addressed, the room itself was very nice. We also ate at Breva and really enjoyed the food.
Overall, I had mixed feelings about the stay. The hotel is beautiful and the restaurant was excellent, but I was disappointed that our room wasn’t ready for guests when we checked in.

The hotel Ivy provides a comfortable stay in downtown Minneapolis within an easy walk of Nicollet Mall and the Convention Center. It is connected to the skywalk network for colder months.
Service is always friendly - from the front desk to the valets. Rooms are clean and comfortable, with large bathrooms. I enjoy returning to this property when I need to stay in downtown Minneapolis.

Way over priced for a ratty "party" dirty hotel. We stayed in the suite. No air conditioning, fan only, so we were hot and uncomfortable. So much deferred maintenance and dirty/shot out furniture that it's too much to list. $22 per day to park. $108 in taxes, $150 sec deposit and no acknowledgement of diamond status or parking available. When we arrived, our entire floor smelled like an active bong party. Was so bad it was even in our room. Do not even think about staying here. This hotel does not live up to DoubleTree or Hilton standards.
The burger and fries were good. The front desk and staff at the restaurant and bar were helpful and friendly but obviously understaffed.

I have to share that this is the BEST Marriott Brand hotel I have had the pleasure to stay at. The customer service from valet, front desk, to spa, to restaurant is TOP NOTCH. In these current times it is extremely rare to find excellent customer service but you will find it here with each staff member you interact with and I SO VERY MUCH APPRECIATE EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU!!!! You have no idea how Amazing Customer Service is paramount for a business, they should all be rewarded. The rooms are SO CLEAN, beautifully decorated, and lots of space to move around in. The room has beautiful amenities meaning clean carpet, nice sheets, nice thick towels, everything is top notch!! The restaurant has amazing food and their wait staff is the best and friendliest you will find. They have an AMAZING gym with tons of equipment. I did not use the spa but the people there always greeted me on my way to the gym. The rooms are built VERY well so you do not hear the elevator or anyone next door, THANK YOU for that as well.
Our family stays here 2-3 times a year for dance competitions at the convention center. 3-5 minute walk via indoor sky way and it is also a secure walk. Hotel Ivy has security in place for hotel entry via sky way and you need a card to operate the elevator. This is another great perk from the hotel.
Absolutely the highest recommendation I could give for a Marriott Hotel. Thank you so much.

I was really looking forward to my stay at Hotel Ivy given all the hype surrounding it, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations.
As a Bonvoy Platinum Elite member, I’m accustomed to a seamless online check-in experience. However, I was still required to stop at the front desk, where I was met with some attitude and unnecessary complications. It didn’t set the tone I would expect from a luxury property.
The lobby itself also fell short of that elevated feel—it felt more like a business center than a high-end hotel. While I did receive a room upgrade (which I appreciated), the room was quite dark due to surrounding buildings, and the artwork was noticeably damaged and crumbling. That detail, in particular, felt out of place for a property positioned as luxury.
That said, there were definitely bright spots. My room service attendant was incredibly kind and personable—I genuinely enjoyed our conversation and wish I had gotten his name. The valet team was also outstanding: professional, friendly, and welcoming throughout my stay. The only downside there was the setup itself, as the parking situation felt chaotic due to the extremely busy street.
Overall, while there were a few highlights, the experience didn’t meet the expectations of a luxury hotel. I left feeling disappointed and, unfortunately, wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

The Hotel Ivy was an amazing experience. I choose to book one of the packages listed on the hotel’s website. There are lots of options that include things like dining credit, parking, or spa experiences. I booked the Ivy Escape which included a dining credit and a spa credit. These credits were enough to cover dinner and a 50 min massage with the spa, not including tax or tips.
The hotel was easy to get to in downtown Minneapolis and included valet parking for an additional cost. There are other parking ramps near by as well.
The staff at Hotel Ivy were all very helpful, professional, and welcoming. I specifically want to shout out the front office manager, Patricia. While checking in, I had casually mentioned I was treating myself for my birthday, and later Patricia had sent up some sparkling wine and chocolate mouse cake with a lively handwritten note. I really appreciated the extra care and it made my stay all the more special.
There were numerous dining options, but I went with in-room dining for both dinner and breakfast the following morning. Ordering was simple and the food arrived quickly. I had the steak frites with a glass of the house red wine and they were both delicious. In the morning, I had the American style breakfast, with coffee and juice- also very good.
The room was beautifully styled, with nice views over the city. I had a great view of Central Lutheran Church, which is lit up beautifully at night. All of the linens were so soft and the bed was very comfortable. My favorite was the bathrobes included in the room. Very plush and cozy.
The only issue I had in the room was one of the streaming apps was not working, likely due to any data clearing upon check out. Probably an easy fix by calling the front desk, but I personally didn’t bother as there were plenty of entertainment options.
The spa was also a wonderful experience. Beautiful lounges and a variety of experiences to try along with your service. I would only warn that the water spouts over the hot tub do run cold water so use them after your hot tub soak so you don’t end up with a cooler tub. The sauna and steam room were also beautifully designed. Each space was great to explore after my massage. I had Brittney as my technician and she was wonderful. My only complaint was that it ended lol.
I also appreciated that the robes were generously sized, which was very reassuring as a larger person.
Overall I had such a relaxing time and I am very eager to come back soon. This place makes for an ideal staycation or special occasion treat!

The best part of our stay was how accomodating and kind the staff was. From the valets to the front desk everyone was very kind. It was a very smooth visit. I would come back to stay again

The Hotel Ivy is lovely, luxurious, and clean - with outstanding friendly service, and a perfect location for attending a Minnesota Orchestra concert. I will stay here again on any future trip to Minneapolis.

The bar tenders and anyone on the service team were outstanding. I travel to 100 plus cities per year and when you receive this type of elite service it must be recognized.

I had a great stay at Hotel Ivy during a work trip to Minneapolis and was blown away by the level of care from the staff. From the moment I checked in, it felt like they truly cared about me as a person, not just another guest passing through.
The front desk team was incredibly welcoming and thoughtful and you can tell they take pride in making each guest’s experience special.
The hotel itself is beautiful and quiet, with a calm, upscale atmosphere. I was in a 2-queen room which was very clean, comfortable, and perfect for unwinding after long workdays.
While it’s a bit farther from our office than where my team usually stays, the experience here was easily worth it. This stay completely sold me, and I’ll absolutely be recommending Hotel Ivy to others and staying here again.

When booking a room and trying to avoid another hotel brand, we decided to try Hotel Ivy this trip. It did not disappoint!! This hotel is worth every penny. It is super clean and staff is the friendliest we have encountered at any downtown hotel! This will now be our go to hotel in downtown Minneapolis!

My wife and I have stayed at Hotel Ivy several times over the years. We are local to Minneapolis and any time we need a relaxing staycation, we always book a room at Hotel Ivy. The staff there are incredibly friendly and welcoming. We've been treated to surprises and special extras in our room when we stay for our anniversary, and generally an atmosphere of comfort and hospitality. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, and thank the Hotel Ivy for all their hard work and being the best option in the city.

I stayed at the Ivy for the convenience of going to the convention center. The rooms were clean but the best part is their bathroom. Nice huge tubs with a separate shower. Very spacious. The staff was also helpful with finding a parking ramp that was tall enough for trucks. She actually looked up the clearance for each ramp and gave us directions. Only complaint was the pillows. Just before this I stayed at the Hilton and their pillows were amazing. But pillows don't warrant a star so I'm giving this place 5 stars and I would stay here again.

I cannot say enough good things about our stay at Hotel Ivy from Dec 23–24. From the moment we arrived, the service was world-class. Patricia was a total angel—she arranged an early check-in so my fiancé could rest after a grueling red-eye flight, which was a lifesaver. To my complete surprise, she also recognized my birthday by leaving a bottle of prosecco and a delicious piece of cake in our beautiful room!
The entire team, especially Daniel, David, and Patricia, went above and beyond to make us feel at home. We also spent some time at the bar; the drinks were incredible, and the bartenders were so friendly, even taking the time to teach us about the unique spirits on their menu.
Visiting during the holidays was a dream—the hot chocolate bar in the lobby on Christmas Eve was such a thoughtful, festive touch. If you’re looking for luxury paired with genuine heart in downtown Minneapolis, this is it. We will definitely be back!

Hotel Ivy is my favorite hotel to stay at in Minneapolis and one of the best hotels I’ve been to under the Marriott umbrella! The price may be a bit higher on average per night, but it’s worth it to me because this hotel makes me wish I lived here. The staff are always super friendly and prompt with checking me in. Minnesota nice is apparent here with every staff member I’ve encountered! It warms my black heart hehe.
The rooms themselves are so spacious with plenty of natural light. I really appreciate the color palette of the rooms; so many hotels opt for a more masculine look with a dark color palette and these rooms have a lighter color palette which I appreciate. There’s an actual desk which is great for remote work. There is so much drawer storage and a wardrobe for suits and dresses. I’m a sucker for a good minibar and they had an amazing one here with a great selection of snacks. The beds are SO comfy. I sleep like a baby every time I visit.
The room service is delicious-I attached photos of my most recent order (roast chicken with wild rice and apple pomegranate crisp) from two weeks ago. I also went to the Anda Spa and really enjoyed my intensive massage treatment and body wrap. I wish all Marriott properties were like this hotel! Now to find others as nice as this one..

My brother and I had a quick staycation and what a lovely staff. So very professional and kind. We ordered room service twice and everything was a 10/10. The room and view were spectacular and very clean and well stocked. Again Kudos to the staff, housekeeping stopped by and ensured we had everything we needed and greeted us. This is the type of service we all love. Great Job Ivy!

Top notch hotel. My husband and son stayed last night and checked out today. They very much enjoyed the hotel and more importantly, the staff/service.
Upon entering the hotel, they were warmly greeted by the staff. They got in a little after dinner time, so opted for room service which was quick and convenient. They thought the food (steak, burger, fries) were good. They were later surprised by a special treat basket for my son for after dinner- a very nice touch! My son said the beds were so comfortable. They also enjoyed breakfast in the morning, food again was fresh. Over the years we have stayed at various luxury resorts/hotels across the country, but it seems like this hotel went the extra mile. We don't have high ranking status with Marriott, and no connections to the hotel. When you're a normal person and get treated like a special guest, it makes you want to come back. Wish they would have had time for a spa session. If you're looking at the downtown MSP area, make sure to check out this hotel. One thing we didn't use was the valet- pretty pricey. Parking in a parking garage one block away was only $16.

Interesting location. It’s sort of on the south side of downtown? Walking around gets you to places but the area itself is a little…interesting. Ubering around is your best bet.
The hotel itself is very nice and the staff is very responsive to your needs. Rooms are spacious and the bathroom is large. The only issue I had was the shower door slightly coming off the wall but they fixed it in the hour I went to get dinner.
Gym was awesome! Had everything!!!

Excellent hotel. Very centrally located. Ample offerings in the hotel for food. Rooms are comfortable and nicely appointed (see room video).
I attending a business meeting here and it was a great place to stay. You can get around downtown via above ground walkways throughout downtown Minneapolis.

We had the best time! The service was incredible! Kaysee made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. It was my first night away from my baby, I was having a staycation with my friend and she even sent a treat with a note. She is the absolute best! We will be back soon!

Loved this hotel for our girls' night! I wish the bar was open later, but other than that, everything was perfect! The rooms are so cute, the staff is friendly, the food is good!
