My partner and I decided to set up home together and felt that a cohabitation agreement would be a good idea. My partner decided on Gelman and Associates and contacted someone rejoicing in the name of S. Joe in that firm to carry out that task.

My partner requested and instructed S. Joe to arrange and put together a cohabitation agreement for us… but for some reason known only to herself and yet to be fully explained, S. Joe decided that we should separate.

To that end we both received fulsome instruction (and in my case dire warning) on how to fill in the 10 page separation agreement form…?! I was also given fax and email contacts for S. Joe.

All that contact information seems to be incorrect as S. Joe has signally failed to respond to my written remonstrations that we wanted to cohabit, not separate. Apparently the same email gremlins affected Lisa Gelman, who when contacted on this matter also failed to respond.

So, would I recommend the firm of Gelman and Associates ?
Well, if you want to have some weeding done in your garden, or, perhaps the driveway swept, or, how about your guttering cleaned… well then maybe.
But… legal advice, I’ll let you be the judge.

I retained Poroshad's legal services a few months ago when I was going through a really tough time. She was able to meet with me almost immediately and was very responsive to my urgency. I switched to Gelman & Associates after my previous lawyer kept charging me for every single little conversation. As a result, I lost my interest in working with her. Having Cindy Scharff take over my file was such a relief. We negotiated as best as we could and I got just about everything that I wanted from my divorce. I would definitely recommend Cindy Scharff!
