As a CPA, I have had extensive experience in corporate America in various senior management positions before beginning my own business, over 31 years ago, as a full service accounting and tax professional. I passed the CFP exam while also becoming a life and health insurance agent with security licenses 6, 7, 63 and 65. I’m one of the few accountants in Southern California who, in addition to being a Certified Financial Planner™ professional (CFP) is also a Certified Public Accountant (C.P.A.). I was born in Londonderry, Northern Ireland and was raised in Chicago, Illinois with 5 siblings. I attended our local Maine West High School and then Northern Illinois University. I was a member of both wrestling teams and received my letters. I graduated from Northern Illinois University (NIU) with a B.S. in Accounting and received accounting, auditing and tax training from Price Waterhouse Coopers in both Chicago and Los Angeles. After serving in the Marine Corps, I attended the University of Southern California (USC), receiving a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA). Read more
