***PLEASE READ IT ALL. THIS MAY SAVE YOU A TOTAL HEADACHE***
This is 100% transparency. I am a Chicago born author and this was my second time placing an order with this company. At first, William and his wife (the owners) seemed so professional and nice. My March 2021 order was good. No problems at all. This time, I needed a new order; a banner and a table runner for an event my organization was having this weekend. We contacted Will via phone originally to place the order, he advised that we email him all of the details and images needed. He assured us he would promtly reply and begin our order. We sent the email immediately, however, he did not respond in a timely manner. I contacted him 5 days prior to my event. This wasn't an issue the first time I used this company. I waited until a day passed and called him back due to things being time sensitive. I was willing to pay for speedy delivery and all. He was hard to get in touch with a few times. Fast forward, we got the order running and I was sent drafts to look at, which contained several spelling errors and formatting issues. I had him correct them and he sent the final draft with no errors. We approved the CORRECTED version. I approved of both the banner and table runner. This is all via text message. The table runner was shipped to us express from a 3rd party, but he promised the banner would be ready the next day. It was NOT. I understood that he had personal issues going on, so I gave him words of encouragement and patiently waited for the next day pick up. When we picked up the banner on the DAY OF my event, he STILL had spelling errors on the vinyl banner and he did NOT add pole pockets like I had ordered. I also asked him NOT to place grommets on the banner, but he did anyway. I have photos of everything, including emails, text, and the many photo errors of the banner itself. We requested a refund AFTER sending him photos of the incorrect product, in which he already knew wasn't correct. Pick up was at his personal residence, due to him not having a store location at this time. At this point, I could not use this for my event. He was NOT apologetic whatsoever. At first he said refunds are NOT in his policy. Then he agreed to a refund of $75 (I paid $213 total, but the banner portion was a little over $75 due to him charging a graphics fee of $45). We said okay, whatever, please refund the $75. He takes payment through CASHAPP. He agreed to refund via this method. He then tried to force me to accept a reprint of the banner (then suddenly says he doesn't know how to do pole pockets. This was not what he told me initially). He refused to take responsibility for the work and we heard his wife in the background telling him how to respond. We waited for the refund. Last, he texts me hours later saying "oh ok, just got your message. I will continue with the reprint. See you Monday". This was him trying to CREATE A SCRIPT, as if we changed our minds about accepting the reprint. We NEVER communicated anything of this sort. This was so pathetic. We never received a refund. This was absolutely childish and unprofessional. Absurd to say the least. We will not be returning customers. #LOSS #LESSON
