He performed his surgical internship, general surgery residency and thoracic and cardiovascular surgery residency at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City, Okla. Dr. Hutton is a member of several medical societies and fraternities, including the Texas Medical Association, Texas MPAC, Texas Medical Foundation, Society of Thoracic Surgery and Montgomery County Medical Society. Dr. Hutton's proudest accomplishment is his recognition by the Guidant Corporation into the Beating Heart Hall of Fame for more than 1,000 OFF-PUMP surgical procedures, and as a Platinum member of the EVH Leadership Circle for more than 2,000 endoscopic vein harvesting procedures in 2005. He has most recently been selected by Consumer Research Council of America as one of America's Top Surgeons for cardiovascular surgery. Dr. Hutton's biggest strength is his name. He has been a physician for more than 30 years, and in that time he has been awarded several honors, written medical abstracts, been appointed to several boards and served as president of several medical associations and community organizations. He is a renowned surgeon and has been recruited by both Texas and Colorado to build successful open-heart surgery programs. Dr. Hutton has a wonderful presence and adds his personal touch when caring for his patients.
