Had to drop in to verify my identity for my account. Was there for all of 10 minutes or so. Jake came out to greet me when I came in, listened to what I needed, and got right to work. Thanks!

This location has changed dramatically over the last few years. I use to love come into the office once a year to look over my account and get information about any Fidelity changes. Now number one it is very hard to try to call into the office I can drive to the office faster. Two it seems the people you are talking to are either trying to sell you something or run out of time before getting to talking to you your concerns.
I use to recommend fidelity to people not any more.

The staff have always been helpful when I've stopped in with questions or needed to discuss investment options. Like any investment firm they'll try to sell and recommend using their services. Although I prefer self-managing my own investments I like they've still provided some guidance determining an appropriate asset allocation for my age bracket and use of the online tools.

Fidelity is the MOST unethical brokerage I've ever done business with. They were authorizing trades without my knowledge or authorization on my 86 year old mother's account and selling at a loss so they could make high commissions on poor investments. In effect, they wiped out $100k in 2 years. They dwindled it while I was taking care of her because she had Alzheimer's. They also took money out of my own account on 2 separate occasions and deposited into someone else's account claiming it was due to account numbers being so close! I had to go to their office TWICE to put the money back into my account. I have NEVER had this happen at any bank or financial institution.. DO NOT TRUST THIS BROKERAGE. Go to Charles Schwab or anywhere else. I didn't find out what they did to my mother until after she passed. Thank God I closed the accounts. It has risen another 6 figures after I got rid of them. They are crooks. BEWARE! Check your statements every month!

About two years ago I moved all my monies out of Fidelity to TD Ameritrade because of the cockiness of the people who work at the counter at this branch. My wife stayed back because she felt loyalty to the company she has been with for more than 15 years.
She got paid for her loyalty to this brokerage firm yesterday.
We deposited money in her account on Monday morning so we could do wire transfer on Tuesday. The guy who helped us on Monday was arrogant and told us in no uncertain terms that the money will not be available in any condition till before Wednesday and perhaps not as long as Friday. The money was available Tuesday morning as we found out from their 800 number.
At around 3 my wife went to their branch. The dunces there took 2 hours and 17 minutes to do a wire transfer. We do lot of wire transfers because we buy investment properties. It never takes more than 10 minutes at any of the Charter one bank branches. Here the reps behind the counter were not just rude they were outright incompetent. At one time they were insulting my wife telling her does she know how to fill their forms. At another time they told her rudely directing her with a finger to go to that table and fill this form as if she was an assembly line worker being ordered by the foreman to go and do your job as told and not deserving of any relief. When she asked if they could get their manager to come out and help because he doesn't know what he is doing she was rudely told that he is the expert here on wire transfers and the manager cannot come out. She expressed concern for Fidelity's future if that his kind of experts were on its payroll. She wanted Scott, the supposed assigned adviser on her account, and was told he is too busy to come out for this kind of stuff. There were hardly any customers coming in and out of that branch. Despite the instructions sent by the Title company showing that the money was to be sent to Premium Title they kept putting the recipient as my wife. We could not afford to make any mistake because the wiring had to be done on that day to not cancel the deal. Finally she said she wants to move her money to TDAmeritrade because they are treating her so rudely because she is an Indian and a woman. At that point the Manager and Scott showed up and all were visibly scared. My wife has quite a hefty account.
There was even more idiocy but the review is already too long. I would just mention that they were pestering to know from my wife if this wire transfer is international or not while it was clearly written that the address it was being sent to is Atlanta Georgia. If these guys do not know that Atlanta Georgia is in the US God bless Fidelity Brokerage firm.
