Rob Hobson, the owner of Hobson Masonry Ltd. and most recently Hobson Landscapes, completed a 4 year apprenticeship in Cornwall England, during this period he worked on stone projects all over England consisting of: barn conversions, bridges, houses, fireplaces, restoration work, landscaping and… Rob Hobson, the owner of Hobson Masonry Ltd. and most recently Hobson Landscapes, completed a 4 year apprenticeship in Cornwall England, during this period he worked on stone projects all over England consisting of: barn conversions, bridges, houses, fireplaces, restoration work, landscaping and flagstone. Rob immigrated to Vancouver Island in 1990 and immediately formed J.R. Hobson Masonry. His company completed projects in all types of masonry including brick, block and stone. The island didn't offer enough challenge so Rob looked to other parts of Canada and after extensive research in 1997 decided to move to Ontario.
