When I tore my rotator cuff (full-thickness) and needed surgery to repair, my doctor recommended Dr. Farjo who is located an hour and a half away. It has been just over 4 months since the surgery and my shoulder is doing amazing. I finished physical therapy and have already resumed light weight training and running (over 50 miles ran this month). I did opt for the stem cell procedure during surgery which I recommend based on my healing. Dr. Farjo and his team earned 5 stars from this patient. The long drives for surgery and appointments were worth it for sure.

I had a genetic condition in both my shoulders that caused me terrible pain as I aged. Dr Farjo and all his staff, including Physical Therapy and the Bone and Joint Surgery Center have my full gratitude a d Thanks!! They are so organized and everything from scheduling to tests to actually getting the Surgery done was not a long drawn out time frame. If I wanted to move a little slower with the time frame Dr Farjo let me decide. For having alot of painful situations that needed to be done in both shoulders, my impediments in both shoulders took away my movement and caused terrible pain and damage. One Surgery end of Feb this year, 2nd surgery June 12th this year, now my arms go above my head.....Thank You Dr Fargo and Staff for everything, I have my Active life back!!! 🥰😍😘

Dr. Hammond is the hand and wrist specialist at Advanced Orthopedics. He is super nice and very thorough ! I like the entire practice. All great Docs especially Dr. Caid who did my knee replacement. 💖

I was able to move up my appointment 5 days earlier. My hand was pretty sore and I needed a couple of cortisone shots in a couple of fingers. The nurse took me back at the appointment time and a few minutes later Dr. Hammond came in to consult. I received the shots and left in about 35 minutes. We also discussed the next steps for the future. The numbing lasted about 3 hours. One day later I can make a fist again.

I had a very frustrating experience from start to finish.
First, trying to get in touch with the office was extremely difficult. If they are on another call and you go through the prompts, the system disconnects you instead of holding your place. When I finally reached someone, I was placed on hold to schedule an appointment and then disconnected. Although they did call me back, I ended up speaking with someone who seemed completely unaware of the prior conversation, which made the process even more frustrating.
When I arrived for my appointment (30 minutes to comeplete any paperwork), things did not improve. I am currently pregnant, which I clearly indicated on my forms. Despite this, the first step they attempted was to send me for an X-ray—something the technician immediately flagged as inappropriate given my pregnancy. This raised serious concerns about their intake and review process.
My interaction with the provider was also disappointing. I came in due to significantly increased pain compared to what I experienced as a college swimmer, and I wanted to rule out a possible tear. The PA, Matt, told me—and I quote—“it is extremely rare for anyone under the age of 40 to have a tear outside of a high-impact event like a car accident.” This statement felt dismissive and inaccurate. Based on my own background and experience, I personally know multiple athletes who have had similar injuries.
Additionally, the PA stepped out of the room to discuss my case with another staff member (Chris), and I could hear the entire conversation. Not only was this uncomfortable, but it also lacked professionalism and privacy.
I was also told during that conversation that my treatment options were very limited due to my pregnancy. Had that been communicated upfront, I likely would not have scheduled the appointment at all. The intake form groups “pregnant” and “trying to conceive” into one category, which seems like a significant oversight. These should clearly be separate options to avoid confusion and ensure appropriate care.
Finally, I was presented with financial agreements and HIPAA paperwork at the end of the appointment. This felt backwards. Patients should be informed of potential charges and consent to policies before receiving care—not after.
Overall, this experience felt disorganized, poorly communicated, and at times concerning from both a safety and professionalism standpoint. I would not recommend this office based on my experience.
