My family of seven people went for Thanksgiving dinner yesterday. Three of us ordered the special -Turkey dinner. The turkey was rubbery, warm, not hot. The gravy looked and tasted like it was out of a package. My meat had a lot of fat on it.. The others had meals that they liked-burgers. "fish and chips" .
, and duck. It was a very expensive evening. But our waiter Ben, and his assistant
gave us excellent service.
In a way , that saved the evening for me, but I will not "rush" to the Rushton again.

Originally when we called, we were told that they do not take reservations, even for six people (which is a problem as they only have 60 seats). We were also told that if we get there by 7 on Saturday night we shouldn't have a very long wait. When we got there, we were told that it would be over an hour because they have reservations for larger parties. The manger then came over and told us that the person we spoke to was incorrect and that they do take reservations for 6 or more people. He was very nice and tried to find us room at other restaurants he knew about but couldn't. We decided to wait.

Guess what. We had fun anyway. We stood around the bar and sat there once it started to clear out. The drinks were great (although the first round should have been on the house considering....). The place is fun and trendy and most of the food is good. The sweet potato frittes are excellent and so is the calamari. Fish and chips and veggie burger were just okay. It ended up taking over an hour to get a seat and maybe its the close quarters that makes everyone talk to one another, but it was fun.

I had been there in the summer before and they have a patio adding more seating. Probably a good idea to save this place for a summer visit.

ya it was ok - but clearly they should have given us a round for the trouble. Perhaps they feel they don't need to since the place is full anyway. But other than that - food was good, service was friendly, company was outstanding!
