A designer referred us to a Town & Country fireplace dealer downtown, but the quote seemed a bit pricey. So we emailed Marsh's and they called the next day and came out to confirm the fireplace could be installed and that the gas line was accessible. Marsh's quoted $2,000 less than the other quote we had for the full package (fireplace, logset, accessories and installation). The service from the team was excellent, they know their stuff and they were really pleasant to deal with. So pleased, we bought a second one for the basement.

Marsh's will install a fireplace but that's it - then you have to go to another contractor to "finish" it for you. Also, the installers were not very knowledgeable and installed the fireplace in such a way that the heat in my house turns off whenever I turn on the fireplace (thermometer apparently improperly installed)!
Mine was a 2 day job and at the end of the first day, I was told that they would be back the next morning. I ended up waiting until the afternoon because I got bumped by (presumably) a more important customer. Yet I was spending $10,000.00 and had booked my job months in advance and had taken the time off work to be there. Of course, that meant that they didn't finish on time and had to come back. When I called another company to come in and finish it, I found out that it was going to cost me $800 to "fix" what Marsh's had done wrong (and that didn't include the thermometer problem) GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!
