I have proudly invested in the COMO project and I cannot wait for its completion. It will be a scenic getaway while being close enough to highways and transportation. The staff were friendly and helpful and truly made my experience very positive.

Excellent builder . Over 50 years experience . Purchased home from them over a year ago and went up in value over $100,000 . So these negative reviews with negative attitudes and negative pasts and future don't know shit about Homes By DeSantis . Losani homes is a joke bud . Deal with there customer service and in the end , the daughter nicely does shit for your new home . Stupid people , find a life .

Non member 105111......is a fake! They stole my review from the Losani home stars page. It was entitled, building my family home. Found on page 2 under the Losani reviews site!.. They copied all the text , gave themselves a perfect rating, and changed the title to, our journey. Didn't even have the common sense to change the name attached to the review. Just proof that most of the reviews that have high ratings on this site are fake. You should be ashamed of yourself DeSantis homes! Maybe take the actual feedback you get from your purchasers to make changes that are positive instead of copying reviews from a more impressive builder.

I agree with all the other negative comments. The Sub contractors provide poor workmanship. The site manager is useless. The labouror seems to have to keep fixing his fixes. 3 years later and we still have leaks. Customer service as they call it, is a joke. You get the total run around in hopes you will give up. Do not believe a word from the service rep's mouth. Tarion is a joke. Buy elsewhere is right!

We are BLOWN away with homes by DeSantis. We heard amazing reviews about desantis and we were adamant when looking for new construction it was built by desantis. ! We close in July and we are soooo thankful for going above and beyond and we are so thankful and proud to say in July we will be desantis home owners!!! Thank you for all you do and making our new house truly a special home for our growing family!!!! We are blessed :)

If you need anything fixed after you move in good luck. They will give you the run around. I Have 4 cracks in my foundation I was told dates of when they would be coming to fix it. I take days off work to be there and no shows. If takes months of calling in order to get anywhere. I will never buy from desantis again.

What a great night at the groundbreaking ceremony in Grimsby . We purchased our second home from Gabe. HE IS A MAN OF HIS WORD !!! My husband and I have been appalled at the comments about this family's business . 50 years of business . I think they know what there doing after 50 years and third generation builder . Very glad we chose them AGAIN cause they're above the rest !

I find some of these reviews with high ratings questionable, almost looks like Desantis did them to raise their ratings.
I strongly recommend to not do business with Gabe Desantis. He cannot be trusted and does not honour his word as a gentleman. Our daughter and son in law purchased a home from Desantis over 18 months ago and they haven't even started building and it's not likely that the home will be ready for the next potential closing. My son in law met with Gabe, discussed his situation and the desperate need to have a home for his family sooner than later at which time Gabe agreed to void the contract and return the deposit, so basically they had a gentlemans agreement. However when they followed up to move forward Gabe decided to hold back $10,000.00, after agreeing to return the deposit in full. He claims this is to cover costs!! I fail to see how he would incurr any costs when they haven't even stared the house, they haven't even ordered construction materials. Also Desantis would stand to gain additional monies when reselling the home as housing costs have appreciated significantly since the original purchase date. $10,000.00 may not be a lot of money for someone like Gabe who has a history of paying that in traffic violations alone but it makes a big difference to a young family. My son in law recognized there may have been administrative costs and offered to pay some monies but Gabe wants $10,000.00 ......for what??? This man is a cheat and a liar and cannot be trusted, so I suggest you do not do business with him, there are lots of great builders out there. My husband and I built 2 homes wth Losani Homes and they were both ready to move in as promised.

We recently bought a home in one of their proyects in Cheppawa area and it has been a total nightmare.
3 leaks in basement foundation and other issues more.
Lack of customer Sevice skills and action.
They don't even take neither return your calls.
Basically you have to chasing then in order to get things fixed.
Don't buy with them!
Read all the comments! There is more negative aspects than positive.

I will never, ever buy from this builder again. My close friends and family are all in the same boat. They will not take responsibility for everything they should. Sure they will help you with anything that's minimal cost but anything more....forget it. I've been trying to get warranty work done for almost two years and I keep getting the run around. They send people in to do the bare minimum.

Recently had to replace shingles on our 10 year old DeSantis home. Come to find out that whoever did this roof cut corners at every turn. Our neighbours all have similar issues. No drip edges installed at all. Holes under shingles where vents were never installed. This,water damaged plywood etc... Yeahhhh low bid!!!
Would be great if more builders were interested in integrity over saving a few dollars to line their own pockets...

If I could have rated half a star or 0 out of 5 I would have. We purchased a home in April 2014 with a closing date of July 2015. It's now end of Sept 2015 and they haven't even started our home. When we call their office they keep blaming the developer but if you go on their website blog they have posts in June that home construction will stat in July?? This isn't our first new build home and we've never experienced such poor service. This guy has no clue what is going on in his business and he doesn't care about his customers now that he has our money. Our life has been turned upside down because of this, and we wish we could get out of the contract and buy elsewhere but Desantis won't return our deposit. If your considering a Desantis home stay away, wish we never got involved with this guy. Based on dates we were given it will be 2 years since our initial purchase date when we finally get to move into our new home...... That's if they don't have any other people to blame along the way. Unbelievable, unacceptable !!

Gabriel DeSantis is only about one thing. MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!. I purchased a new home pre-construction in Lincoln square. Delay after delay. Extra money for mandatory walkout basement, that was never wanted. It is like taking a razor blade to your eye lids to find someone for fix your issues. It's has been 1yr and they still haven't repaired the issues off our 30 day list. Design studio was a joke. Nothing was explained in detail of what options come with the house. Things that were said to come standard actually never comes with the house. Then you run into the "he said" she said game. Trust me you will never win that game. I've been fighting with them for a year. Your home should be their priority. But they could care less. A NAME YOU KNOW A REPUTATION YOU CAN TRUST. IS COMPLETE....... BULL$#×T!!!!!! Everyday their is a complete new crew building your house. So you never know if the quality is ever going to be the same. I've talk to workers that worked on site that just started construction that week with no experience or knowledge of building homes. All about the money and will low ball every contract

We purchased in Lincoln Square and have had nothing but problem after problem. Even after talking to Gabe himself, nothing has been resolved. We have had major issues in the building of this home, very poor quality workmanship, poor customer service. Terrible all around. I would never recommend anyone to this builder.

We purchased a home at their Lyons Creek site in Chippawa-Niagara Falls. From the beginning to the end we didn't have any problems with this builder.
I stongly recommend Homes by DeSantis for new home purchasers.

Horrible builder. We did our research and heard that Desantis was a good builder.
What we didnt realize was that the reputation was earned by the Father.. The Son has been squandering his father's hard earned reputation, and we have fell victim to this.
We are almost sick with depression from the experience.
No promises are kept. They treat the community with total disregard. Word is that the city has levied fines on them for their many unsafe practices. But they persist.
Their site personnel is some old school grunt, who it seems the head office takes advantage of, so he does f-all on the site. He can be seen moving material around, then leaves early and has no control over the trades who have a free-for-all.
Unless you want your life-span cut short from stress leading with this lackadaisical, DO NOT BUY A DESANTIS HOME!!

Should have done better homework... It appears that this Desantis Son is not the Father from an integrity perspective. We have had our closing date pushed back twice now from the original closing date. We realize that things happen but based on the "trust me, no worries" commitment we received, we sold our current home and are now proverbially "on the street". I drive by the site often and seldom see significant movement; very disappointing. According to the "scoop", it's permits that are holding the whole deal up! Why wouldn't this be settled already - is this their first build?! Anyway, to those that read this, DO YOUR HOMEWORK prior to signing on the dotted line! I've purchased two new homes in the past and never have I had this happen (food for thought: Mattamy Homes was a pleasure to work with). Don't put faith in the fact that the home is a Desantis - the Son (this one anyway) does NOT appear to have the same customer service appreciation that his Dad did... If you have the time and can stay where you are, the purchase may be worth it however expect delays is all that I read, hear, and am now experiencing. I hope the wait is worth it! Good Luck!
