I had a flood caused be the hot water tank. My insurance company called Canstar. I can't say enough about this company ! From start to finish everyone I spoke to or had dealings with were friendly, polite and helpful at all times.
Even when I had a second problem apart from what they had already been taking care of, I called them for help and without hesitation, the help was there for me.

Thank you to all the Canstar crew I worked with ! The company is fortunate to have you !

There is nothing good to say about Canstar Restorations.
Not only did I have to constantly be calling them, they NEVER returned my phone calls and when I did finally get through to someone - they would blame another department within their company saying "There's nothing we can do until..." DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM!!! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!

My Scenario: My neighbour in the Condo above me replaced his toilet and the toilet seal was not done correctly which then leaked onto and into my bathroom roof creating a large bubble.

I immediatley notified my Strata and they had Canstar come in, first canstar looked at my roof and said it was just a little wet and they would use a fan to dry my roof, the fan was on in my bathroom 24/7 for 3 weeks.

When the bubble on my roof got bigger I had asked for them to open my roof to find where the source of the water was coming from (if the bathroom toilet was fixed - why was more water coming into my bathroom) I called Canstar numerous times and finally after weeks of calling someone came to my apartment for 5 minutes to look at it.

A week later Canstar came and took a sample of my roof to see if there was any aspestos. A week later the results came back that we had 3% aspestos in our walls. I was told they would schedule a hazmat team to come in the FOLLOWING WEEK (Were now at 5 Weeks with this problem. Canstar came in on the Monday and took out my roof and realized my roof was sagging more because the water from the above apartment was still SOAKING wet, and was extremely heavy making my roof come down more. Again, I was constantly calling Canstar asking the Status of what was going on and no one could give me an answer and kept blaming other departments

It's now been over a week, still no word from Canstar on when my bathroom will be fixed. All I was told; "we have a quote and hopefully it gets approved"...
