We as a family have visited this restaurant every time we have been to Toronto. It is a unique experience and caters very well for groups with different eating needs. Various different themed eating stations cook whatever you want while you wait. It is set up similar to an old fashioned market, with barrows full of fresh fruit, veg, breads....and a pudding station to die for. The challenge is not to eat too much....but with the choice available...that is a hard one.
There are no fancy tablecloths, candles or set place settings, just a rustic, clean utilitarian and pleasantly decorated restaurant. There if 'Free' fresh running water delivered in a novel fashion from a Lions head on one wall....you simply help yourself. This is a great feature for the kids....makes them want to drink water!!!
If you are planning a group get together, just be aware that you may not all sit down with your food at the same time....as some stations are busier than others.

Enjoyed the experience. Little difficult getting to water station with loaded tray.....maybe offer water when clearing trays...
