If I could give 0 stars I would. Worst counselor ever! Untruthful and unethical.
Myself and wife reached out to her in a crisis and she twisted the words both of us said separately on an emergency phone session. She never conveyed my message, (we where separated at the time), to my wife. She outright lied to me about what my wife said.
She pushed what she felt needed to happen instead of helping us come a decision. In my opinion a counselor is there not to decide what should happen, but to be a moderator to help have heathy communication so we can make good choices in a healthy manner.
Both my wife and I felt like she twisted and left out important information in the phone session she had with us separately. We sent her an email telling her we had decided do to these things that we we’re going to seek counseling elsewhere and wanted a refund for the phone session that led to the decision and not to be charged for the appointment we had that day. We were told no, we didn’t cancel with a 48 hour notice. If we had canceled for reasons of our own I would gladly pay. But we canceled because of her dishonesty and how she miss represented us to each other.
I will admit I have my fair share of problems. And our marriage has it’s fair share of issues. We liked Kate and this was our second time seeing her. And I truly regret having to write this review but feel everyone should know.
