Although I have not been to Boysdale for many years it was very saddening to see the one review and how damning it was, but let's face it you can pick up lice anywhere so may let's put that aside . Worked and lived at Boysdale in the late 70s and the place was amazing and had some wonderful staff including Alice the cook, she was great in the kitchen and put out some great food every day but there were alway some kid there that would complain and missed his Big Macks because that was all he was used to. I hope that people will not be put off by the negative review previous to mine because the staff are doing a good job on limited resources , I wish I was young enough to be back , great memories.

Because you can get them there! I sent my son to the camp and he said the food was absolutely disgusting (and he'll eat almost anything you put in front of him?), when I visited the camp for their Thursday night dinner the bathrooms were in terrible shape and the overall cleanliness of the facility was severely lacking. The staff were inadequately trained and several of the VERY young "counselors" did not even have first aid training. Peter's glasses were also lost at the camp and when I contacted the director he told me I shouldn't have sent him with anything valuable as they are not responsible for lost or stolen property.

It was an absolutely dreadful experience for myself and my son and I cannot in good conscience recommend this camp to ANYONE including my worst enemy.
