He began by repairing watches for several jewelry stores in town and gradually grew a strong clientele who appreciated quality work done at a fair price. The storefront quickly became too small and the Tick Tock Shop moved to a larger space up the street. More room meant the store could offer a bigger selection of clocks and watches including several grandfather clocks.
