I visited Parker Store CSC of Salinas to have a rigid copper crossover pipe made for an air compressor. I brought in my existing copper line for reference. The employee confirmed they could duplicate the part and said it could be ready as soon as the next morning, as the technician who performs that work was not available that day.
I also offered to provide copper tubing I had with me if needed, but was told they would supply the material. The employee measured my part and quoted $98 for a new 4 ft x 3/4 in copper pipe plus labor to bend it. I asked to pay and was told to pay upon pickup. I left my original part with them.
The following day, I received a call stating the price would now exceed $500 because they would need to charge me for an entire roll of copper tubing. I was then offered a steel braided hose option for $197 instead, but with no guarantees that it would hold up to the heat or vibration.
At no point during the initial quote was I informed that the price could change based on purchasing a full roll of material.
To me this is like ordering a deli sandwich from the menu and then once you get to the register they double or triple charge you with the excuse that they have to charge you for the entire loaf of bread they make the sandwich with.
Gas is currently close to $7 per gallon, and they wasted my time and several gallons of gas for nothing.
Based on this experience, I chose not to proceed, and I will not be returning to CSC in the future.

Brought my wood splitter in to have the cylinder seals replaced or to replace the entire cylinder. New cylinder was too
Much. Long story short they were suppose to call me before they did anything. Never called. Said they lost my number and finished the repair. I get there and my number is on the tag with the splitter. So I was lied to. And then given a bill much higher than they said it would cost. Wood splitter still not at correct psi.

Was in town from Phoenix and needed some updated parts for my rv extend a stay system. All the guys behind the counter were professional and courteous. Being that it was propane related they were concerned with my safety and made sure I had all the right parts within minutes. Wish we had something like this store in Phoenix. Well stocked with everything you could possibly need. Thanks CSC!

Bought 2 stainless steel braid hose for a customer.. 1 started leaking within a week. Returned hose and they refused warranty. Now I look bad because they won't own up to a defective hose.
