This is by far your best option in the New Cumberland area for a quality motel experience. This was my second stay, it was two nights, and I should have left a review after the first one cause of how great it was. On this day, I was originally supposed to be at the Super 8 New Cumberland, but the owner turned down my third party reservation for no reason. This was a blessing, first off because the Super 8 in New Cumberland is a disaster, and also because I ended up at the Highland inn. The place is run by Americans, hard-working people, who make sure you have a excellent stay. The rooms are individual, motor inn style, which I prefer over motels that have long hallways, and you have to carry your stuff farther in. Neither time I stayed, were there any bugs, pests, or excessive noise. Of course you can hear the highway, but that's normal for all the motels nearby. They always charge a very fair rate, competitive with all the other local motels, and worth any extra cause you're buying American. There's also a Rutter's only a half mile away, perfect for getting a good dinner or breakfast. Whether it's a short one night stay on a road trip, or an extended, choose Highland inn, lots of inexpensive alternatives nearby, but trust me, Highland inn is your best choice.

Don’t stay there save your money it’s a dump mins after booking room we were called about our check in time the lady in office is rude and said the office closes at 11pm so be here before tht if you are a. Couple be prepared to pay for second guest $10 my husband was questioned bout a second guest and charged when we got there the room didn’t look like the pics at all and smelled like stale old cigarettes holes in curtains stand up shower 40 years old pink tile and mold the room was so tiny 2 ppl can’t be moving at same time sink was dirty bed was old and hard felt springs in mattress at 9 am we were woken by office lady banging on door telling us to check out now ! We travel for work stayed in all types of hotels around the country. Never have we been treated so poorly could be racist ???!!! but the worst experience of my life I guess they live on property as well n it’s jus a trashy place not to mention we saw German cockroaches as well from start to finish the staff was rude and disrespectful felt harassed and uncomfortable

Well kept and friendly staff. ive stayed in many of the rooms over the course of 2 or 3 years and I have never had a bad experience. Abby has always been nice and willing to do what she can for people that are respectful. I recommend staying here. While the highway may be too noisy for some, it's secluded back in the woods and you don't have to worry about your property being disturbed during your stay. Rooms are well kept and clean. Beds are comfy and have clean sheets. It's a nice place to stay that won't break the bank. Microwaves, wifi, hot shower and a bed. Everything a hotel should be!

To those writing bad reviews, maybe take a second to see what you may have done to contribute to having a bad experience!

I left a review on here a couple months ago but apparently it didn’t save. This place is off the chain!! 10 stars and I definitely will be back again! Super nice front desk staff(Abby), rooms are very clean, fast WiFi, bed slept great and lots of TV channels. I’ve stayed here four(4) times and everything is great every time! I will always stay here whenever I’m in town!

The room was clean and comfortable, and the lady at the front desk was friendly and informative! The air conditioning unit is pretty loud but worked for us as a nice white noise machine for the kids to sleep to. We weren’t sure what we were getting into when we drove up but ended up having a very pleasant one-night stay. For the price we paid, we would stay again.
