postscript: Excellent follow-up care from Nick and Alex who showed me how to get the maximum output from the unit. I learned so much about the log set up and burn cycle. Who knew there’s more to it than throwing on the occasional log!

The Heating Source (Mansfield, ON) knocked it out of the park. They were $1,800 cheaper than the competition for the exact same fireplace installed—and still delivered top-notch service.

The owner personally came out to assess the job and quote it, shared some smart, practical tips, and didn’t waste my time. The install crew showed up on time, were friendly, professional, and fast, and did a clean install.

I designed and built the surround myself, and everything lined up perfectly. Great price, great people, great result. Highly recommend.

I attempted my first start of the year with my True North pellet stove, TN40, which failed to start. I called for a service call on the 15th of October, booking the first available appointment. They couldn't service my stove for 9 days, 24th of October. At the service, my wife was told the ignitor has failed and would call when the part came in, to book the installation. After a bunch of cold nights, my wife called The Heating Source, (4th or 5th November) to find out when the new ignitor would be installed. They told her that they didn't know if the part was available and would know on Friday. That's 14 days after the initial service call, 23 days since the initial call for service, and they hadn't done an inquiry into a part to heat my home. Getting impatient and living in a cold house, I called The Heating Source on the 12th of November and was told, the part is available but wasn't ordered, because I hadn't placed a deposit on the part. "WHAT", I said. She assured me that it is policy. I said, "WHAT?". I asked to speak to the manager and twice since, but she is always unavailable. I agreed to pay for the deposit for the part and received a bill for $235.04, covering the initial service visit and the part. I waited until the 19th and called for a status update and was told, they wont know until Friday if the part is still available. Availability was confirmed an ordered on the 21st. I received a phone message this past Friday that the part would be delivered on Monday the 24th. To date, the manager hasn't called me. I contacted True North, the manufacturer and was told, They sell to distributors, who sell to dealers and they could not help me get the part. That's a month to get a part and who knows how long the installation service will be. She stated that they are booked heavy and would like to get me scheduled.
To day is the 1st of December and the Tech just fixed my stove. He was friendly, courteous and did a quality job.

Excellent service repairing my damaged chimney. Booked an appointment very fast and showed up on time. Excellent craftsmanship by the workers and they didn't leave any mess. I'll definitely recommend The Heating Source to anyone in need.
