Starting in 1912 as a small family-run business, the original store was located on College Street in the heart of Toronto. Until 1967 the company, under the name Tonecraft Paints Limited, was a major supplier to thousands of painting contractors across Canada. Identifying potential opportunities to service the Do-It-Yourself (DIY) home decorating market, the owners developed a completely new merchandising concept. Under the name Color Your World, the company repositioned itself for selling decorating products directly to the DIY customer. I have made several purchases here & have had really good advice from helpful patient staff.
When selecting paint colours they send me home with paint chips so I can find the right shade based on my home lighting.
I have always felt the staff want to help me.

-The guy with glasses that works there should be avoided. He's been there too long and his bitterness gets in the way of good service.
-The website is useless. Can't find opening hours, which aren't great by the way. Tried calling, no answering machine.
-Paint is good.
-Lighting in the store isn't conducive to good colour choosing.
If you get the right person, then the service is good.

If there was a review beyond excellent, then the people at Colour Your World on Carling avenue would deserve it. They are fantastic with us, the contractors, and with our customers.
