It is important to read and take any bad reviews serious people don't write them if they are happy. We hope this review helps someone else to make up there mind as whether to purchase their flooring here.
We obviously had a bad experience dealing with Tom. He dealt with our flooring issues in a very unprofessional way as he was rude, arrogant and obnoxious in the way he spoke to us even more so to my wife.
We were able to see through this type of person, his rudeness was a way of control, only to make himself look bad.
We only wish we had read the reviews after hearing the sales pitch we were given.
Think and do your homework before making your purchase. We made a big mistake.
Hopefully you will read this review and save yourself a lot of headaches.

We purchased our beautiful Wickham floors through Tom @WFSD or "Trout Creek". He was a wealth of knowledge when it came to suppliers, trends, and patiently answered our many questions about things we had heard and read over the internet.
The floor we selected was Tom's suggestion and on a monthly special promotion; Wickham 5" Wirebrushed in a matte finish. It looks rustic but clean, it has texture but is even and the charcoal stain is the perfect medium shade (not too brown and not too grey). I'm glad we listened to his advice about wirebrush over handscraped for the ability to refinish (if ever needed), and the safety of a fully Canadian manufacturer. We were confident in our purchase and are more than happy with our dealings with Tom.
The order came in less than a month, boxes were fully intact without damages. He arranged for shipping to our home as well. In the end we came up short with supply do to our own calculations, but Tom had no problem ordering us another box.
A heads up though, the showroom isn't fancy with nice lighting and displays. It's a warehouse, meaning you spend less money on his overhead and more savings go to you and your floors.
Well worth every cent we spent and look forward to ordering more flooring for the rest of our house in coming years.

Tom is a very patient man who is very knowledgeable about the product and his price is more than competitive! Although there was a slight delay in our flooring delivery, he allowed us to store our product at his place at no additional cost for an extended period when we had to delay our installation. We will definitely deal with Tom (and his trainee son) again.

Wow ... It took over 3 months to finally get our order delivered to the Trout Creek warehouse in Dundas. We connected with the owner and we had to wait another 4 weeks, because he said we had to pay by cash ... not credit card, not bank draft, not by cheque, but only with cash. He was rude, obnoxious and totally upset my wife. Next time we'll go elsewhere.

I researched hardwood flooring at six places, and ended up back at Trout Creek for the price, and the product. Tom was very knowledgeable and did not act like a salesman, but more of a teacher. Branding and his crew were great to work with, and for a small charge they delivered the floor to our home. Friends have commented on what a great installation we have. We couldn't be happier.

Looked everywhere to match a "deal" found elsewhere. Found it it wasn't a deal afterall. When I got to the shop it was closed with a note on it and phone number. Tom had closed for the day, but turned around and came back. and the best news is, he was able to locate the exact flooring. Will reccomend him to everyone I know.

Purchase laminate flooring from Trout Creek and had Brandon install it. What a great job. They had the best prices of any store in the Hamilton area. 12mm laminate for under $2.00 sq. ft. Including pad and a great installation. Had laminate installed by a store on Nebo Rd. a few years ago they overcharged me for the floor and the installation was nothing but problems. If your looking for hardwood GO TO TROUT CREEK IN DUNDAS.There the best.

We where a little sceptical when we realized that we where buying flooring direct from a warehouse. No fancy showroom. not real pretty. Tom assured us that if we did not like our purchase that we did not have to take it and it would not cost us a dime. No restocking fees like in some other stores we considered. Did we make the right choice. Beautiful flooring and the best price anywhere.
