I had a very positive experience at this location! The staff was incredibly helpful in educating me on how to care for houseplants and how to search for pests. They helped me pick out good grow pots and even repotted the plants for me! This was so helpful as I live in an apartment and would’ve had a difficult time repotting them on my own. I would absolutely recommend people to come here and I will be coming back.

I was in there today at 3:30pm and had quite the poor experience. First it was hard to get any customer service, everyone was busy, had to ask multiple staff for assistance to find what I was looking for, which was primarily just flowers or a plant that is okay in shade (gardening is not my expertise but I've been re-doing my backyard and bought a bunch of stuff last week here).
The last of the 3, I think her name was Lynda, had some knowledge of the flowers, but made a rude comment. We were having a completely normal conversation, and suddenly she says "You seem upset, calm down". I didn't say anything aggressive or rude to her whatsoever. She just decided to say that in the middle of a normal conversation. It's 25 degrees out outside where we were. It's not unfathomable that I'd be a sweating a bit. We were standing at the front of the store, right beside Yonge St. It's not unfathomable that I would speak a bit louder than usual. She might know a bit about flowers, but needs work on her customer service. Just because my speaking voice was a tad loud doesn't mean I was upset, and even if I was, if not rude to her, then it's not her place to inaccurately interpret how a customer is feeling and telling them to "Calm down".
I live in the neighborhood and would have been a good customer for years to come. I hope her quip was worth losing my business.

Last week, I had bought three plants, but I need to say that the overall experience wasn't good at this location.
I decided to buy Pansies, which now, after a week, are full of aphids. Since there are racks after racks full of pansies close together, I think it is best everyone checks their pansies, because mine had a bunch on all 3 individual plants sold together, and now won't bloom / aren't showing signs of growth.
The other plant with which I had an issue was a pepper plant. In terms of the store and infestations, it was completely fine, however, as I got to the register, I overheard the manager arguing with two cashiers, which is likely what led to my cashier to rush packing. They put the three basically on top of each other, and this caused the pepper's leaves to rip in a few spots, now however, it is alright with the ripped leaves.
I am going to say, that there is a wide variety of plants, friendly workers, and a good location, but you should be aware of Pansy infestations and packaging issues.

Absolutely love visiting Sheridan Nurseries! 🌿 The selection of plants and flowers is always fresh, vibrant, and beautifully displayed. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and always ready to help with great advice. The store itself feels like a peaceful escape right in the city. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to add a little greenery and joy to their home!
