In 1976, Central Woodwork, Inc. formed CenWood Kitchens, a supplier of kitchen cabinets based in Memphis, TN. The division eventually leased a 30,000 sqft building to use as a showroom and warehouse for an extensive inventory of kitchen cabinets. In 1984, this challenging venture became the forerunner to “CenWood Appliance Distributors”. The concept blossomed when General Electric Company, approached Central Woodwork about becoming an Authorized Builder Distributor for the Memphis, TN area. Eventually, working with a growing array of manufacturers, the opportunity to expand would lead to opening a second location in Nashville, TN. Today, Memphis and Nashville continue to thrive with two dedicated CenWood Appliance storefronts servicing both professional contractors and homeowners alike. Read more
