My family and I moved from Brooklyn 3 years ago. Initially when we arrived, I decided to visit the Davis Visionworks store by my house. When I walked in I did not feel welcomed so I decided to keep commuting back to the Davis Visionworks I had been going to for years in Brooklyn. Because school is just around the corner and I did not feel like driving over 30 miles, I decided to give this location a try. I AM SO GLAD I DID!!!. From the moment I walked with my son we were greeted warmly. Kamila, the young lady at the front showed me the frames that were covered under our insurance. She also did our pre-test intake. She was extremely KIND and PATIENT as it took my son a couple of tries to get through this process. We were then seen by Doctor Romain. She was very KIND and took the time to ask us questions about our vision to see if we had any changes or concerns since our last visit. Dr. Romain was very PERSONABLE and I really appreciated her approach to our examinations. Not only was she was very thorough, but she also explained what she was doing and I did not feel rushed at all. After our exams we were taken to Nyasia. She was WARM, WELCOMING and extremely HELPFUL to us, both in finding frames and giving us feedback on what looked good on our faces. In addition, Nyasia was PATIENT!!! She took the time to listen to all my concerns and then to see what the best options were for the add-ons that would be best suitable for us. I left this store feeling great about the money I spent and confident that our needs had been met. We will no longer be traveling back to Brooklyn for our yearly eye exams and glasses. This is now my family's eye care destination! The customer service we received at this store was EXCELLENT! Every employee we interacted with was kind and friendly. Overall, I highly recommend this store for anyone who values top notch customer service and a personable approach to eye care.

3 years ago I had a great experience. So i went back. Aftet my exam, the associate told me to pick a frame up to $275. So, I picked a frame- rather than explaining options for lenses. Sales person just said $210 when telling me the total. When I questioned she started telling me all these features that I never said I wanted or really needed. Very basic reading prescription doesn't require thinner polycarbonate lenses. Then when I said I only wanted a coating- she huffed and puffed. Then said it would be $105. I asked how with insurance snd my plan said $30. She said "I don't care what your plan says. My system said this." I ended up leaving. If I wasn't required to use my entire benefit there or lose it I would have gone elsewhere.
I ended up having my insurance call the manager about how the coating should be $30. The manager made a call and I was in fact correct.
When I went back weeks later, to pay my $30, I saw other associates doing something similar. So beware if you go there. They just seem to put things in and not explain anything first. That shouldn't be. Its okay to make recommendations but trying to get people to just pay without explaining is poor practice.

We come to your location because of the eye doctor. We love her! She's smart, caring and kind. The front staff is equally terrific! We live 2 minutes away from the Plainview location, but we would rather drive out to Farmingdale for a better experience.
