I went to the Calgary Store on Memorial Drive on March 28 to purchase a fireplace. After waiting there for almost 15 minute without being acknowledge by one of the two elderly sales gents one of them finally assisted me. There wasn't much talking, and I paid a 50% deposit, was told I can pick up the unit in 10-14 days, and I left. On day 14 I called them for a status update/ETA and the guy I talked to was so incredible rude and arrived the day before. Why the sales person didn't call me I wouldn't know. I went there yesterday for pick up and same thing happened - waited 15mins before being acknowledge. This time the sales person didnt talk to me at all. 20 mins later everything was loaded on my truck and I was so grateful to be done with that place. Unfortunately when I got home I received the surprise of a badly damaged mantel. Screws were ripped and broken into two pieces now I am forced to deal with the manufacturer directly to rectify this as I do not EVER want to deal with Hearth Fireplace Depot ever again. I cannot believe bad service like this still exists in this day and age. Will never recommend this company to anyone!!
