To do this, we are building out a network of the top podiatry practices across Tennessee to partner with health plans and community providers to deliver comprehensive foot care in a consistent and high-quality manner. Tennessee Podiatry provides an extra layer of care to patients with a diabetic foot ulcer (DFU) or patients at risk of developing a DFU, and intervenes with the appropriate care earlier. Each year, hundreds of thousands of Americans will lose limbs due to diabetes. Studies show that many of these amputations and the resulting decline in quality of life could have been prevented with proper foot care.
