While much of the community was in opposition, the dogs… When Dogs At Play opened in 2001 it was the first Doggy Daycare and Boarding Facility of it's kind in North Carolina. We started at a time when many people did not accept the concept of all day play groups for dogs from different families. While much of the community was in opposition, the dogs sure weren't! They were having the time of their lives and owners were grateful for a happy tired dog at the end of their work day or vacation. By the time we turned five years old several other facilities opened up in the area proving that this was a concept that was here to stay. Over the years we have watched puppies become adults and sadly, have had to say good-bye to a few seniors. It is our privilege and passion to be a part of all these dogs' lives. At DAP every dog is guaranteed to be treated with love and kindness as if they were our own. Our managers are Pet First Aid certified, and all staff members have a thorough knowledge of dog behavior based on all the latest information.
