I have been coming to this Dairy Queen location since I was a little boy. I have since moved from North Ridgeville but return some times to see friends. Tonight was one of those nights and I drove in ten minutes until closing time. I ordered my frozen hot chocolate, a medium vanilla cone dipped in sprinkles for my wife and I got my friend a blue raspberry slushie.

Upon driving to the window I was handed a box of butterscotch dilly bars to which I told the girl I did not order them. She apologized, saying she had already charged my card for the dilly bars. I told her it was okay, asking if she could sub them out for regular dilly bars instead, which she did, explaining how my in-laws would love that I got them some dilly bars! Two other crew members came over and also apologized to me asking if they could do anything to make things right. I told them no, that it was okay and we had a very pleasant conversation about working in the food service industry.

This same girl told me she would get me my frozen hot chocolate, commenting to one of the other girls how she had never made one before. The other girl told her she hadn't either, but that they would figure it out together. A couple of minutes later they came back and handed me my frozen hot chocolate.

I want to say that despite how this may sound like a negative story, that frozen hot chocolate I was handed was one of the absolute best looking hot chocolates I have ever gotten from any Dairy Queen location from Medina up to Cleveland. It had a beautiful lattice pattern of chocolate on top of the whipped cream and was perfectly mixed without any clumps of chocolate inside. As soon as I took a sip of it, I was taken back to when I was a kid coming to that location. I remember asking for a small chocolate chip cookie dough blizzard with chocolate ice cream and getting vanilla instead and when I asked for chocolate ice cream they happily remade it for me and gave me a medium instead.

I love this location. I miss sitting outside watching the honey bees drink from the rock fountain and chatting with the old owner. I am proud to call it MY Dairy Queen even after 25+ years. Thank you to all of those team members, you really made my night.

We went thru the drive thru and I ordered a medium chocolate ice cream. Got home and it was such a small amount of ice cream? Didn’t even fill the bottom of the dish? Other parts of our group order were great but ??

Ordered 6pc garlic parm strips and cheese curds, got 3pc regular strips with a handful of curds instead, and no dip. I understand we ordered close to grill closing but we were not made aware of that when ordering online (site said opened for another hour). Come on man :(

My ultimate favorite dessert is a S'More blizzard. 3 of the 4 times I have visited this particular DQ they have never tipped it upside down... why? Because they have been more like a milk shake. Once I had been inside and made them remake it. The inside is very clean and neat. About 5:30 to 8:00 pm you can expect a long line in the drive through.

i’m honestly soooo sad & disappointed loll i know it’s jus ice cream but likeee)): anyway my mom was on the way from far away so i called 20 mins before close saying hey she’ll be there before 10, could i give u my order now so u don’t have to make anything when ur ab to close?? i already felt so bad asking, so i was very apologetic & appreciative. she was so sweet & i was so relieved!! but when i got it my blizzard it was just a bunch of random ingredients thrown together😭 i was having a really bad day today that’s the only reason i got it so close to closing. i wouldn’t have got it at all if i knew there wasnt gonna be even one thing right ab my order): very sad but it’s alright, probably my fault /:
