I had an amazing experience dealing with Pablo as an immigration barrister, however the same is not true for their receptionist MAHNAR, and unfortunately the reason why I am leaving this review.
(9) NINE MONTHS FTER the process for a visa application for a family member was finalized, I get a note in the mail that I have an outstanding balance I need to pay. I remember I went there to pay back then after receiving the statement, it was early in the morning and I did the transaction at the boardroom in the front thru a woman (it might have even been her). Apparently they either misplaced the the pay stub or something happened but for whatever reason they seem to now (AFTER ALMOST A YEAR) not find any record of the balance having been paid, I honestly do not remember if I paid with a card or by cash but I certainly did not keep a receipt.
so:
After receiving the letter last night (again, this is 9 months after) and I never once received any communication throughout the whole 9 month not a single letter this is what happened:
1) I acknowledge immediately that I received the letter
2) MAHNAR called and I answered the phone acknowledging the receipt of the letter but letting her know I was surprised that if there was something wrong with the payment why did they not realize the same day, the day after even a couple weeks later? why am I getting a correspondence almost a year later? and why did I not receive any correspondence in the interim?
The reasons why I am rating her services as extremely poor:
1) She called me and I answered the phone acknowledging the receipt of the letter, yet at no given point did she APOLOGIZE for the matter of fact that it is obviously their mistake that they are disorganized, likely it was her who was the person who was disorganized since she told me on the phone she is the person in charge of filing the transactions.
2) The tone on her voice was reflective of a treatment she was giving to someone who was not willing to pay, even said "this might go to collection" when I had shown full acknowledgement of the receipt of the letter, I had answered the phone, my only confusion came from telling her I did not remember what method of payment I had used and that I for sure had no receipt.
3) She raised her voice and said "I am surprised you don't remember how you paid" why would I remember how I pay every transaction I make over the course of 9 months, I am more surprised that a law office leaves the filing of receipts in the hands of someone who is so disorganized and doesn't realize a payment was missing for 9 months. ... After her rude tone I hang up on her
I called again and when I mentioned to her that the problem was not the money that I was ok with giving them my card and paying but the problem was her rudeness, tone of voice, implication of my unwillingness to pay (which is absolutely untrue), and lastly her lack of acknowledgement of them (her) being disorganized and causing the client confusion after 9 months. She said "I have nothing to apologize for" ... she obviously is oblivious to how matters need to be resolved, how mediation in a situation of misunderstanding needs to be approached and should not be in the front facade of a reputable company.
I asked to speak to Pablo, to whom I expressed my disappointing as she was damaging a pristine service he had provided. I provided him with my card so they could process the payment.
I recommend Pablo but unfortunately cannot recommend the company as a whole as they should have a person who does a better job at reception, who is more organized and does not misplace things and if she does who is attentive enough to resolve the issue within two weeks not 9 months later and whom after a mistake knows how to apologize for the confusion and inconvenience they are creating and tries to arrive to a solution in a more amicable manner.
I hope they change MAHNAR as the front face of the company
