I defaulted on a lease a little over 2 years ago, the account was sent to CGI Credit Guard for collections. After a couple of weeks of negotiations I reached a settlement amount with them. I paid out the account on Feb 21 2014 in full. I was assured by the agent on the phone and by email that it would be reported as paid, I refused to pay unless they would at least report that it had been settled. 2 months latter I had to dispute my credit file on TransUnion in order to get it to show up as paid.
Now after 2 full years it all of a sudden it shows up on Equifax as still in default and still owing so now I have to go through all this again.

Do not trust these people they say whatever they need to to get you to pay but they are not honest. They Lie.
