If I could give zero stars, I would. I took my reception dress to Valorie at Martha’s Tailoring to have it let out and to replace the back buttons with pearl ones. I was fully aware that the dress needed some work and expected it to be somewhat costly—but $575 was outrageous. For context, the dress brand new didn’t even cost that much.
When I questioned the pricing, Valorie responded in an extremely rude and unprofessional manner, stating they charge $100 an hour and that my alterations took 5.5 hours, plus the cost of pearl buttons. After doing some research, I found that $100/hour is far above the industry average for wedding dress alterations.
To compare: I had my actual wedding dress altered at another shop—taken in from a size 14 to a size 2—and the total was $350. Not only was that experience professional and pleasant, but the work was flawless.
Martha’s Tailoring is overpriced, unprofessional, and disrespectful. I will never bring another garment here again. 0/10 – avoid at all costs.

Valeria has done a lot of quality work for my family. In fact, she tailored my entire family's wedding day outfits, including my wedding dress and a gorgeous gown for my honeymoon.
I'm especially grateful for this business because she took my wedding gown at the last minute and made fantastic changes. It was unwearable before then it fit almost perfectly! Even though it was last minute and had layers of lace, she made it work for a fabulous price. I'm very grateful and recommend this business!

Martha’s tailoring helped us out tremendously when we needed pants altered within 24 hours. My son’s best friend’s mom passed away over Christmas 2023. We were heartbroken because we have experienced this type of loss 5 years ago when my husband was killed at work. It is the hardest thing to lose someone who is your immediate family or really anyone who you have in your life. The funeral was out of town and my son was wanting to leave asap. He desperately needed new dress pants, shirt, shoes, jacket, the whole nine yards as he just graduated from Auburn. The only pants that he likes and fit well were a size too long, so I searched for a seamstress to hem them only to strike out. As a last attempt I called Watkins dry cleaners and got the nicest lady who informed me that Martha’s tailoring often can help in situations such as this one. Martha’s had the pants hemmed and ready by the next morning and the price was VERY reasonable. How awesome is it to find a company who actually goes above and beyond and doesn’t charge you a rush fee! I left several other items to be altered and just realized that I haven’t picked them up yet!! Fingers crossed that they are still waiting for me, but I am hopeful they are because of the way we were treated in the first place. Great customer service and thanks for having a heart when times are tough… I will be visiting soon with more items that I need altered and to pay for the items that I have forgotten about since Christmas!! So sorry!

So I'll start at the beginning. When you approach, there's a nice parking lot that's shared - I believe there is a dentist on one side, and Martha's on the other. Parking is plentiful, but the road in is single-car, so be careful on the turn-in. Speed limit's 25 on that road, anyway, so shouldn't be an issue.
Building resembles a residence, and the front door is right next to the register, so be careful entering! Upon doing so, I was greeted by Valeria. Very polite and quaint, and attentive - I'm not sure, but it seemed like she does all the alterations, herself. Interior is very neat and clean, and there's a nice display of past customers and reviews she's gotten over the years.
Anyway, I have a funeral to attend tomorrow, and I needed suspender buttons sewn into my pants. Unfortunately for me, I had to buy a new pair of pants, due to some recent weight loss, and I was looking at a day in-between that and the funeral. I called several places in town, and Valeria was quick to say that she was able to give me the turnaround that I needed, which was a very pleasant surprise - I know it was a big ask, and I'm fortunate that she agreed.
Not only was it done quickly, but I got word via text of it being finished after-hours - she had worked over into the night, to get this done for me. I felt so humbled and grateful.
This morning, I went back, the price was very reasonable - I was quoted $3 per button, a total of six, and what I assumed was a $10 charge for the work, itself, to which I happily paid. She accepts cash, card, and Venmo, so no worries on that front. The work is stellar, and I could not be more happy with my experience. Valeria, if you see this, cпасибо. I think I'll be back, should I need more tailoring done.

I should probably write four separate reviews as we have used Martha's alterations four separate times over the past three months. My daughter and several of her friends were married this Fall. Not only did Martha's do the alterations on my daughter's wedding gown but they also altered two bridesmaids dresses that my daughter had to wear, along with one bridesmaid dress that we had to pay to have altered for a friend of hers who stepped into to replace a bridesmaid who could not be in my daughter's wedding. The ladies at Martha's were extremely friendly and professional and VERY reasonable each and every time we used them. They were very happy to accommodate us in having one of the dresses ready in less than a week's time! I recommend them highly!
