When you’ve served Cajun meals as long as we have, you learn the difference between real food and a bland imitation, and our guests know it too. Grilled, fried or on ice–there’s time cooked into every dish and time spent on every home cooked recipe, so that every aroma, every bite, every sip and every gathering is memorable. We’ve spent more than 80 years creating a recipe for something much greater than a place for a lunch break or night out. It’s a place to share (or keep the whole plate to yourself), a place where you always have a seat ready at the table and a place where you’re always part of the family. Read more

KINSLEY is a superstar!
Outstanding Food and Even Better Service! The seafood here is absolutely incredible—fresh, perfectly seasoned, and served hot. What truly made our night unforgettable was our amazing server. They were attentive, friendly, and went completely above and beyond to make sure we had a fantastic dining experience. We will definitely be back!

Don's knocks it out of the park when it comes to service and decor, unfortunately the food is not that great. The Seafood Gumbo was dark and way to salty, the Crawfish Etouffe' was bland, the Shrimp Etoufee' was decent, but lacking rice and shrimp. Seafood combo was trash except for the catfish, which had a great flavor and was perfectly fried. I will say, the peach cobbler and ice cream was delicious, but couldn't make up for the rest. It's definitely a seafood option if youre in the mood, just wouldn't be my first option.

I've tried Don's in the past, many years ago, in Lafayette. I remember it being good so when my husband suggested we eat at this location I was excited.
We visited on a Monday night around 8pm. There wasn't any wait for a table. Atmosphere was nice. The place was clean and our server was nice. That's about all of the good things. We waited a very long time to get out the oysters. We also ordered jacked up shrimp as an appetizer. We got our appetizer with our food, along with my bisque. I'm not sure why they sent everything at once. We barely got to eat our appetizers because our food was starting to get cold. Jacked up shrimp was okay. My husband enjoyed the oysters. The bisque was mediocre. It tasted like it was made with jarred roux and it had the tiniest crawfish tails in it (about the size of a dime) I'm glad I ordered a cup and not something larger. My husband's red snapper had not been cleaned properly. He found a few scales while eating it. It also had a very fishy taste to it which was off putting. He only ate half of it. His stomach was not doing well after eating it. My shrimp and grits were okay. Shrimp were a little overcooked. Grits weren't great but not terrible. We also ordered fried shrimp to go. Our bill was $140. Was it worth it? Absolutely not. Will we return? No. There are far better places, especially for that price. Service was slow and we didn't appreciate getting all of our food at once. Our server apologized for that happening so I guess it's a back of the house issue.

I’ve been to Don's Seafood a few times now, and overall it’s a solid spot. On this visit I ordered the grilled salmon, and it was cooked perfectly—flaky, flavorful, and right on temperature. The real standout for me, though, is the green beans. They’re honestly some of the best I’ve had anywhere, full of flavor and not overcooked.
In the past, when I’ve been seated the bar, service has been quick and friendly. Food usually comes out fast, and everything runs pretty smoothly. That said, sitting at the bar this trip was a different experience. This time, I waited over 20 minutes before the bartender even acknowledged me while, which was frustrating. It didn’t seem overly busy, so it felt more like I was just overlooked.
Once I was finally able to order, everything else went well, but that initial wait definitely stood out. I’ll still come back because the food is consistently good.

Nice place and really great staff, much of the food was really quite good. Only had one plate that just wasn’t good at all.
What was Excellent? The charbroiled oysters were fantastic. I would highly recommend them. They were charbroiled, but not overcooked. Some places tend to make them black on the edges and these were perfectly cooked with the cheese grilled just a little bit and the oyster is still nice and plump… Delicious.
We were there for lunch on a Saturday and they were offering some special brunch items so we wanted to give it a try. The crawfish scrambler was really great with the sausage making it a little bit spicy - but in a good way - however they prepare their crawfish they’re not too salty - with eggs and topped with cheddar cheese… Really a wonderful flavor. The side came with blueberries and strawberries, and they were quite good as well.
The only dish that wasn’t great was The Bayou Benedict - the eggs were almost fully cooked by the time we received them so not really poached . I think the flavor was good with the andouille sausage and the crawfish with hollandaise sauce - the biscuit was extremely dry, even with the sauce. I’m guessing if the egg had actually been poached it might’ve all come together well. If you are an eggs Benedict fan like I am, I would say just go for this order and make sure they send you really poached eggs.
The seafood salad had a ton of seafood on it… Several boiled shrimp… Lots of Louisiana crawfish some small, but admittedly, easy to eat and good flavor… And a ton of lump crab meat. I would definitely order this again.
The waitress was knowledgeable and helpful.
It was a little difficult to get in and out of the area because it’s right next to the bass Pro shop.
