Wish I could give it 0 stars.. The biggest concern I have is why build this new hospital with only 13 rooms? First Red Flag.. The staff seem like they could care less if you live or die. Everyone is standing around talking or sitting at the desks on cellphones. I literally thought I was having a heart attack. The pregnant nurse said they would do an ekg. Took her 10-15 mins to do it and she had to get help from someone else. Then told me to take it up with the charge nurse. I see why UMC has 2 star ratings. If no star ratings were a thing they would definitely have that.

If I can leave 0 stars I would. Took my mom here the other day no one was in the waiting room and got called pretty quick. But she was in a lot of pain. We sat there for an hour about no one came to check on her so I asked one of the nurses that was present when will they think someone is going to come see about her and he had the nerve to say out his mouth whenever someone comes we’re busy at the moment. Mind you there were doctors and nurses in the front when u first walk in the emergency area after the double doors just sitting and standing around talking and laughing with one another. I was so confused like how are y’all so busy when it seems like no one is doing anything at all????? We left took her to another county and was in and out within a hour. I’ll never come back here or recommend this place to anyone.

They were horrible. The packaging is beautiful, but it's still the same experience. The emergency room attendants /nurses were standing around talking. No one could tell you when you will be seen and was very nasty and short. I left and went to Newberry. At least they take pride in their jobs.

If zero stars were an option, that’s what I would give. The worst experience in the ER today. If you have an emergency, go somewhere else — or risk your condition getting worse in the waiting room. I tried explaining to the dark-haired lady at the front desk how serious the situation was, but it wasn’t taken seriously. She told me the wait depended on a bed becoming available, yet told the lady who came in behind me that she probably wouldn’t have to wait long.

We came to the ER for my daughter in May of 2026. They were clean, efficient, friendly and competent. Nurses Chelsea and Courtney were amazing and Dr Stogner was wonderful. We were very impressed overall and will be coming to Union from now on for any future ER visits.
